This is the hobby room at my place. I'm allowed to say it's mine while ever my better half isn't in it. Going by bench space it is her room. ![]() ![]() The desk with the blue chair isn't for me, the desk behind the bin isn't for me but the one on the right where the truck is, is mine but if someone wants to build I have to share. We renovated the kitchen and used some of the cupboards and kickboards in here and made the tops from timber sheets from the hardware store. Drying cupboard up the back but spray painting is frowned upon inside. |

You guys always see my work bench in a MESS, usually while i am building, so last night i gave it a good tidy up .. OK guys, i have a few weeks off work, so far i have rebuilt my bathroom, fixed a heap of other stuff around the house, but today i thought " what about the MOST IMPORTANT room in the house ".... THE MODEL ROOM.... So, i gutted it, and am throwing a lick of paint at it, to lighten it up, and some new flooring, as the old carpet has eaten more than enough model parts !! I am going with a Vinyl click together floating floor, which will look like wooden flooring. And i hope to add some more storage shelves too. Seriously, you don't realize just how much stuff you have in a tiny room, until you try to empty it out, my sons bedroom is chock-a-block, good thing i have a couple of days before he expects to use it..  Here it is emptied out for the first time in 16 years..  |

Holy crap, Dale. I don't think I've EVER seen the color of your tables. lol That looks great, man. I can't wait to see what you do on your next build after a clean bench. I know what you mean about the carpet. I haven't really started building full on and there are plenty of pieces in my new room. I bet you'll be able to build a complete kit with all those parts. Ha!

Well, i have spent a good 24 hours work in the model room, 2 cotes of paint all round and a new floor.. WAY better, now ti fill it back up..  |

Looks good mate, plenty of light and space to work Thanks man, the lighter paint made a huge difference, but some how, i need to fit all my models back in there, so it's off to the hardware store tomorrow and look for some more spare parts bins, and hopefully a cupboard that is just the right size. I have to sort it tomorrow, as my son does not have his bedroom at the moment, and i know he wont want to sleep on the couch when he visits.. |

After a few days, i finally got my model room back, and added a few new shelves and cupboards, also some more partitioned box's for all the spare parts..   |

Looks like a nice cozy model room Dee Cee! It is Leon, i open the windows behind the bench, and can watch the TV in the lounge room.... very handy when you live by your self, you can set everything up to suit yourself. |
