Ok...I will start this one since nobody has posted. I work out of my garage. Three walls. First one has my benches, tv, wall of aftermarket parts, paint booth and paints, and some storage cabinets. On top, you'll see white boxes with part of my resin kits, and kits from the 20s to the 40s. Excuse the messy bench. Have a few projects going on in addition to casting a few parts. Second is kits from the 40 through anything modern. the tall cabinet holds all my spray paints. A freezer there for dead bodies from anyone that touches my stuff. Need a bigger one... haha On the top shelf, you'll find many VWs, garages, trailers, pickups, Johans and Japanese kits. All the way to the right are all show rods and Wheel's Deals kits. Third wall is the display. I get them from Carney Plastics. The center one is one I made for oversized kits and small dioramas.

God in Heaven I wish I had a beautiful work area like this. You are a blessed man son. I would almost be ashamed to show mine. I have a 1,000 kits in my stash but they're stuck in three different rooms in my small house and my work area is always a mess. This is truly, truly a nice setup Joel, and being in a wheelchair I see all that lovely room to move around in!

Thanks guys. But this wasn't started for me to show only mine. I started working out of a coffee tray a long time ago. Everybody is proud of their place so show it off.
This thread is for everyone.

Not nearly as elaborate as Joel's and Mike's areas but it more than gets the job done for me. My quaint little area.....
Complete with the assembly / paint drying booths that are heated to 80 degrees with the lights on...

Super tidy. No paint stains or glue stains. I think the more space I have the messier it gets.
Is that a spider on the paper towel??

I rescued her from the last shop that we were at and just brought her home and kept her in an aquarium for over 2 years. Honestly I didn't think they lasted that long. I think I'm right in saying she's a black hobo spider but she stayed right there on the work bench the whole time. After she died I posed her and will be pouring a clear fiberglass mold with her in it for a paperweight. I know......my interest in spiders is about my only quirk though. LOL.

Great work area Joe. I once had some land around Navasota and there were tarantulas that would get in the road at night in the summertime and I would capture them in a jar and put in alcohol and preserve them. Used to have quite a collection.

You are lucky I like you Joe, because the spider thing I could delete, OMG - I cannot stand spiders.
When Joel asked if that was a spider on the paper towel, all I could tell myself was, nah - no way that's a spider
But then you agreed, and then you put up a close up picture! 84 84 84 84 SOS_zpsd56jhk5q

You know I'm ok with them as long as they don't surprise me. I even had that one on my hand a couple of times (only because she escaped during an aquarium cleaning) and put her back in the aquarium. I just had to make sure and move slow as they (along with a lot of spiders) don't like fast movements. There was this one time in 1988 when I was in the Army as a new Private E-2. We were on a field exercise and we had to set up an M-60 machine gun point as part of our defense perimeter so they sent this other Private out with the "60" to go set everything up. He came back about 10 minutes later complaining that there was this "big spider" out there and there was no way he was going to set the MG post up. Being young, stupid and full of testosterone I jumped up to take the challenge and took the weapon and the MG belts like "Billy Bad A$$" and took off towards the designated MG post area. Now this isn't the exact area but the opening between the two trees looked about like this in the picture. You can see the trees on the left and right sides in the foreground there........
Yeah.......I was walking my happy a$$ right through an opening like that when I was covered in web from head to toe......The initial thoughts..................."Mommy........."
I looked down at my stomach area because I could feel something with some weight to it hanging from my brown t-shirt and saw this crawling up towards my chest......
You know.....................there's that point in time when you get shocked or frazzled just right and you just loose it......................and so I did. I don't really know what I sounded like between screaming but it must have sounded like the freekin' Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes trying to talk as I frantically tried to get this thing the Hell off of me!!! I finally succeeded in getting it off............or so I thought.....As I looked around to make sure no one was looking I felt it again. I guess I didn't get rid of it after all.............persistent little critters these are! As it started it's climb once more, I again sounded like a blazing idiot trying to get it off. This time I got it and as I was jumping up and down on it with BOTH feet ...............EVERYONE that was involved with the whole field exercise ( and there were a lot of 'em) came out to laugh at me non-stop. That's what I get for playing "tough guy" ........

Used to have quite a collection. I don't know what it is about the interest in these little guys (er....gals) but they are cool to watch in action. I threw a pretty good size roach with these huge antennas on the front of it in there with her one time. It was bigger than she was but it was very interesting to watch as she came out of her hole to greet this gigantic roach. The roach tried backing up and going underneath the insulation to get to the bottom of the aquarium out of her reach but she grabbed the roach's antenna between those front two finger like appendages (called pedipalps) and pulled the roach back around where she wanted her and saddled up on top of it like she was riding a dang bull.... 2gwb921 . About ten minutes later the roach was dinner.

LMAO!!! I know what you mean about being young, dumb, and full of....... I was once the same way over in Okinawa, Japan in the 80's. One day, as I was in processing, and was unaware of the island critters just yet, I stopped by a tree and sat down for a spell - it was hot! But when I looked up, all I seen were these big (Word Censored By Forum Administrator) banana spiders - hanging all over the place in that tree I was under!!!! I will NEVER forget that moment, and buddy, tough guy or not, I flew away from that tree like a flash. It took me years after that to be able and walk under a tree with high branches!! Another time, there was one covering the sidewalk one day, it was so big, I didn't even attempt to jump over or walk around it, I literally crossed the street to avoid it!!!
Seriously, google banana spiders - you will be surprised how HUGE those suckers are!!
That one in your picture, believe it or not, is a simple garden spider, we had one in our driveway cactus one year. Still big enough to make someone take a dump right there in their pants!! I left it alone, figured it was security! Ha!

People think Tarantulas are deadly but the truth is there is not a Tarantula in the world that can kill a man. Some will make you pretty sick but none will kill you.
