How about a third rear axle?

I quite the stretch, about right I'd say ! I'm Z `ing mine closer to the cab\sleeper,as i think it stands out a bit like that, maybe ? But then are you adding diesel tanks ? if you added them behind the cab then these would help cover the Z chassis part ?? You could probably get away with stretching it even more then ? Just my , looking good mate ! Good icon_smile_2cents worth there mate. thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon

How about a third rear axle? 2 will do me mate, that way everything will match, like the diffs and wheels.

I like the sound of the extra axle length in the stretch but ultimately it depends on the plan for the build. Roy and HG would say too much stretch is barely enough but..... I think low will help make it look long.

So i cut it all up again, and after a couple of hours, here is where it's at. I don't see it as being a working truck, but a big bit of fun, to show off in. The chassis will be covered in on the top, and some big tanks and fabricate some rear guards , so a lot more work left, that's for sure.

I'd say it's plenty long as it is. What's going to be on the frame rails? No sleeper has been established.
Are you going to have a sheet metal skin and a drag wing like the kit, or are you going to make a smooth, show type body to cover the frame?
Curious....

I reckon it will have sheet metal style skin, over the top at least mate, depends on how tidy the joins come up. I will also have the air lines etc, turntable also, but NO wings. Thanks too Mark and Mike

Leon and Mark.. thanks guys.. Last night i painted all the fiddly bits in the rear end... and tonight i have tried to work out where the hell they go, even WITH the instructions. I did all the diff bolts with the Molotow chrome pen.. it's not "DEANO DETAILED", as i know nothing about trucks, but it is a little bit detailed.

The detail that you have gone to is great even if you don't know much about trucks you will be able to make it look great. I love how well the colours are turning out so far.

Awesome work. I'm not a big rig fan but my late dad would be in hog heaven looking at these builds. He drove over the road for 3 decades and was a Pete fan!
