I might be able to squeeze this one in at the later part of the year or maybe the first part of next year God willing. My brothers dream car is a 1970 Maverick so I thought I'd go to work picking the kit and parts up for this one.
The full kits usually go for between $150-$290 if you can find them. I got this one from a friend over at MCM for ALOT less than that. I also scrounged up a built one.
The kit:
and the built up version. He likes Cragars so here's a shot with those:
and a shot with MY faves.........Weld Draglites:
Sorry brother, my vote goes to the Draglites!! very cool. these are on my 1:1 pro streeter. are they aluminum? they look great. where did you get the not-so-deep rear ones? I got 'em from a guy named Jim Littiken from a place he then called Micro Nitro. He sold out to a fella by the name of AJ who now runs the business on Facebook. Yes sir......they are aluminum and run about $45 per set but are worth it to me. I've got a set of 5 lug Draglites being spun up soon.

HOLY COW!! well, they are beautiful. I don't think I can drop $45 on 4 rims. then again, I won't drop $25 on a kit!!! post up those drag lites when you get him.

HOLY COW!! well, they are beautiful. I don't think I can drop $45 on 4 rims. then again, I won't drop $25 on a kit!!! post up those drag lites when you get him. LOL! To fully understand my thinking on the cost you've gotta put it in perspective. I've been known to build 1:1 scale musclecars in the past and the price tag on the completed ones were around 10K and that was 20 years ago for my 67 Mustang and the same 9-10K again in 2002 with my 89 Mustang 5.0 . I'd hate to think at what those dollar amounts would be these days. So $45 for a set of wheels or 60-80 bucks on a resin body aint really that bad as opposed to what I could be spending. This way I can build a dream car for much much less and keep it for longer. lol. I'm obsessive when it comes to getting a good result I guess. lol

Last year, while I was in San Antonio visiting my wife in rehab after her aneurysm, my son and I took a quick trip to Walmart to gather some supplies for her on the trip back home and to grab and quick bite to eat at McDonalds inside (Yuck) . Some of you may remember this but on our way back out to the car I saw this and immediately the wheels started turning in my head. I quickly grabbed a couple of reference shots. (I wish I could find this car to get more now but hey, I at least got a couple). I just had to make this one come to life.
I just acquired this last week...............
along with the resin interior tub:
and the kit that I'll be using for this:
I've still got to finish the Camaro that I'm working on up and then it's off to the Mustang so that gives me enough time to gather up a set of PE Centerline wheels from Ted's Modeling and some tires. I'll also have plenty of time to think about a nice streetable engine to put under that cowl hood. Man........................choices, choices, choices.................

It's difficult to say but I can do an in depth photo coverage of it to see if his product is worth using to you or not. I've gotta say that I'm not impressed with the lack of windows and the way he molded the engine compartment. It'll take ALOT of cleanup to get a motor in there.

Yea I don't have mine yet either!!! Stace It's a good lookin' kit so far except for those stooopid "dots" in the middle of the headlights. You know, the ones that are a result of the alignment / installation pegs molded into the back of the lens. When will Revell learn how to NOT do that. Not very realistic in my opinion.
