Dude.....that engine looks friggin' killer!!! Fantastic detail from every angle. Good job on those headers too. I can't tell you how many times I've had things go perfectly in NUMEROUS mock ups and when it came time for the final assembly......it didn't fit....WHAAAAAAT???!?!!
This is gonna be a show winner for sure when you're done with it Pete.

Thanks guys. Trying to get it to match the magazine pics I have for it. So far,so good. Les, I gotta get some 100 octane fuel first, Get it on the run stand. Then I can fire it up and break in the camshafts. Oh how I wish...

Ok gang! Said I would post up the headliner in the next installment...Here it is. Fabbed a pair of sun visors to hide most of the seam at the windshield. When its all together and you look through the window. You cant see the rear seam at all. Just makes it all look more...cohesive...Got the headers re-done with some lead solder. They wouldn't clear the lower control arm mounts on the chassis. Had to cut the two middle tubes out on each side and replace em. Still had to clearance the right side cont' arm mount though. LOL, the headers now look the part completely with proper dents and all!!! Next installment should have some real progress (I hope) Close to permanently mounting the interior tub to the body and the body to the chassis. Stay tuned!! and thanks for looking/commenting gang.

Just a little update here: Yes, the headers and engine fit now!!! Talk about 10 pounds of sh%! in a 5 pound bag!!! Had to cut off the fabbed flanges to get em to finally drop in place. Sometimes I am my own worst enemy...LOL... I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with this build now!!

LOL...Thanks Gil!! I like to keep my fellow modelers on their toes. I mean, why suffer through it alone when you can drag others along with you? All be it, kicking and screaming the whole way but never the less...

Todays installment: Yeah, finished up the engine compartment today. Had to fab the upper shock mount plates. Got the fabbed radiator hoses installed as well as the battery cable and starter cable from the solenoid.(Have to tidy them up a bit) Mounted the radiator and core support and called it done. Now for the finishing touches, hood lock pins and chrome parts and yeah, still gotta fab a driveshaft. First engine compartment pic is the real deal. Second one...well you get the idea... Ok so it isn't quite finished. It will be before the week is up. Next installment should be the last one here. Then its on to the "on the road" thread.
