At least your making progress mate. Sounds like you've hit the wall mate? Been thrashing on the Coronet mate, to get that finished, so i can now concentrate on that big rig. ps: it's done as of 10 mins ago. egyptian

The chassis is together. Will need a bit more work yet but now I can start to mock it up to see where everything goes or at least should go! I've moved the steering box and linkages etc to the RHS. Shortened the shocks to suit the new axle position. Added the third supercharger and got the radiator together so I can see where the engine sits so I can make a new sump for it. Going to have to shift engine mounting points. Took this shot so I can see how much room there will be for turbos etc, looks like plenty. The gap either side of the radiator to the inside edge of the bonnet looks like enough room for air intakes. Borrowed some wheels from another kit, different scale just to see how the front sat, so far so good I reckon.

Thanks guys. Still got a long way to go but getting this engine sorted will help. I'm trying to keep a clean look to this with minimum bits hanging off it so I've put the air intakes under the bonnet. I came across this while i was looking for something to use for the air intakes. It's a roof spoiler for a European truck from Italeri's accessories pack. I chose it for the curve in the plastic.. I cut the front edge off, cut it into 4 pieces and then made up 2 'boxes. A little sanding on the sides of the radiator and on they went. I cut an above the cab air intake from a Volvo in half and made up 2 air filters to clean out all the crap that would enter the intakes. This shot shows the slight curve in the intakes. I've got them wide to hopefully allow twin turbos on each side. I actually measured this kind of right. Some of it will be covered by the grill surround but I'm thinking of changing the kit grill out and the way it mounts so hopefully it wont matter.

Thanks Dale, Leon & Les. There has been a fair bit if head scratching with this and it mostly just makes a hollow sound! Time came to fit new engine mounts so it at least sat correctly to the radiator. I just used evergreen plastic C section which gave me a little room to maneuver it around. The turbos have been added. I mounted some outlets on the back of the aircleaners to give me somewhere to mount one of the turbos. There are 2 on each side. I also added some plumbing on top of the superchargers to suggest (rightly or wrongly) the 2 smaller ones feeding the main centre 1. The top turbos are held in place on the outlets by metal pins made from cut down paperclips. This allows me to lift the engine and radiator out as 2 separate units but keeps everything aligned until they go back in for good. The yellow bits on top are the off cuts from the exhaust manifolds. The ones on the back half of the engine are reversed so the meet in the centre of the block. I've had to cut and shut all the turbos to get them so they cleared the valve covers and the inlets/outlets faced where I needed them. The white one may need a touch up! At this stage there is still plenty of room under the bonnet so next up, I'll have a crack at the piping for the turbos. Going to try solder and see how it goes.

What awesome progress on this one!! Almost a shame to put a grill in it, with that sweet intake. The whole set up is pretty crazy! I like it!

Engine sure is looking crazy, is there no way of moving the cab forward to meet the front end ? Lots of interior space, just enlarge the trans tunnel ? You could always add a big sleeper behind the cab to even things out a bit ?

Got the basic engine colour on. Spent a LOT of time trying to come up with a complete set of matching rims for this. Have some on order but I'm not getting positive feedback on a delivery date so getting plan B sorted.

Thanks Dale and Leon. Done a bit of detail painting on the engine, not finished but enough to give me an Idea where I want it to go. Working on the rear suspension, trying to get it down a bit. Must have raided this kit for parts in the past and it's biting me on the bum now, had to make a few bits and pieces but hopefully back on track.
