Haven't had much bench time but detailing continues. I made the clamps from BMF and did the side cab vents the same way. I found it stuck better than the vinyl tape I use as tank straps. The cab door handle, Kenworth badge and step edge strip are photo etch items from Auslowe. The headlights are also Auslowe items, each light consists of base and lense. I did these in alclad. Bumper and grill also done in Alclad, bumper shown upside down. Made a start on the interior. Wasn't sure if I should try to replicate the real thing but decided it would be hard to see so I am just doing the front section. The slot shows where the interior wall should be but I've moved it 5mm to close the gap between the seat and wall. I didn't use any of the kit interior in my Comet KW, so I used the left over pieces in this one. Some parts are reversed but I'll cover them in a diamond pattern material later. I cut the right hand side of the top part off to create the returns on the wall to the sleeper. I put the bar across the top so I can hang a curtain across to block the line of site into the back of the cab. This means I'll only have to detail the underside of the extension of the tub ( make sense??) This isn't anything like the real thing but should look ok. Still no idea on colours for the interior.

Okay, so here is the interior pretty much done except for the curtain and dash still needs to be glued on. The cab walls were covered with a rubbery material made by Auslowe in the diamond stud pattern and painted with flat black and the studs picked out in copper ( hard to get them all the same size)! Seats as per kit painted same as walls. Tried to go a bit custom with the dash, my Mrs likes it but I'm not sure if it is too much. Satin black dash, purple fascias, white dials with copper edges and switches. Steering wheel is purple with copper spokes. What do you guys think before I glue it in? icon_hmm_zps07rcoppf The flat white section shows how much I had to lengthen the interior by to fit in. This was mostly so it looked right looking under the cab. Even made up the old style gear stick where the range buttons were strapped on with 'hosetype' clamps not in the top of the stick like modern trucks. Have left the side window out so hopefully it will be visible. A modeller on another forum (not as good as this one!) gifted me the light bar but I didn't want to paint the clear shell so I used some old truck brake light lenses in it to give it some detail. Have the windows in the cab. I made them using clear pages/covers from A4 presentation folders. The kit windows had died from glue overdose.

AWESOME buddy, i like the dash, the rest of the interior is very cool too. And a clear lens on the light is what happens now days with colored LED's on the inside.

Thanks guys, with the positive comments, the dash stayed as is and interior has gone in. Now that I can see how and where things sit I can make up the exhaust pipes back to the stacks. Once the last of the engine piping is done I'll start to do the finishing details.
