That fit in there like it belongs there Pete. Exhausts can be tricky to get looking right especially with fabricated manifolds/ headers but looks like you whupped this one into shape pal.

Thanks Les!! I hear ya, It takes me some time to get em looking fairly descent. I think the medium being used has a lot to do with it. This aluminum wire (16 gage) is soo easy to bend/form...Beats solder by a mile. Just have to try and find it in a larger diameter for big block/drag style header pipes say 12/14 gage...

Todays installment: Not much really, Finalized the wheel/tire package (repainted the rims Alclad Aluminum) and started on the engine details. Got some work done on the exhaust pipes too. Who doesn't like Cherry Bomb glass packs!?    Next installment: Hopefully a finished engine and a finished chassis so I can marry the two...Stay tuned!!! |

OOPS! Forgot to mention, I painted the tires with Tamiya flat clear. I then applied Tamiya weathering powder (Snow) with a small foam makeup applicator to get the Lettering to show up. This gives the tires a used look since the lettering isn't bright or well defined.

Thanks Joe! Yes it has an oil filter but, it juts straight out the side of the engine  No fuel pump though. Not even enough room on the front cover to scratch one up convincingly. Still figuring that one out. |
