yea, my mistake. after reading what I typed, I realized my mind did not convey to my fingers too well. I blame it on lack of sleep.

Also by the time I was half way done my eyes were all crossed up and I had to take a break for a while! Yeah man, that one little bit I got done took 3 hours, and just to make it more sickening I'm going to have th redo it cos the one lot of green keeps coming off. It must have some sort of coating on it stopping it sticking

Oh MAN! can you put a little elmers glue on it to hold it down? I used single sided tape and sprayed adhesive on the seat to hold it in place. One edge wouldn't stay put so I used a little instant glue on that spot. Would that be a possibility?

I'll try a coat of matt coat on it and see if that works, if not it's only a bit of time to redo it without the green

A bit of canopy glue will work mate ( white glue), it is what i use on my stitching on the Dart interior.

I'll try the matt coat first, it's a bit thick and I can brush it on. Hoping to get some painting done today on the body and maybe even get the roof started but it might take a while. Going to attempt a los boulevados style on it so lots of masking

I've done that a few times, just didn't have a clue it had a name..... Should look good though mate, just use a low tack tape, so it don't peel it all off..

Well I'm not sure whats going on with the black, after letting it sit for a couple of hours I started flatting it with 2500 wet n dry and it all went black again icon_free-sign-smileys-1010_zps84ab39f3 , so I've just spent way to long bent over the sink attacking it with 2500 through to 12000 polishing kit and it looks much better and is all black again ready for a bit of waxing after the foil goes on. Going to wait until the weekend to paint the roof as I will be at my own house so can spray indoors. Once the water dries off I'll post some pics of how the body looks now

One step forward, two steps back and it's done the same on the hood. I gave the whole thing a very careful 1500 before the primer too, yet this still happened. Into the stripper it goes. Drowning_zpss6saijaz sAng_soapbox_zps9f6fd0a5

I mean - it is a Caddy after all, and that is what they are best known for - rust and missing bumpers.... e5037457_zpsameexuws It's already in the stripper, I'm determined to do it clean and shiny since it's part of the original plan. This time I'm going to flat the body with 1200 though
