OK!! Here is what most people don't see, as it is just part of the paint job. Some people think i just wave the Air Brush at a model, and out comes a sweet paint job,.... NOT!! Yesterday i put down a base coat, as i am going to use a nail polish for the top coat, which takes a lot of product to cover, so a base coat helps.  Now, as those who use auto paints will already know, they can bring out the seam lines you have already gotten rid of, so this coat of paint helps find and settle those down. This is also where i see so many people go wrong and throw it into the purple pond..... big mistake, because then you have to start the whole process again. The paint actually seals the body, and sets hard, and it should not happen when you put all that final coat of clear on it. All i am going to do is lightly block them away, and squirt a bit more paint on it in those spots. Here is where the hood ended up, i had some bleed through where i have made a scoop and adapted it to the hood.  Now, back to the room, and get some more paint on it. That is pretty. I have a lot of nail polish and it is all lacquer, I assume this is lacquer also. I heard you talk about nail polish when I first joined the forum.

First off that's one helluva finish on that turtle shell. Secondly....what did you use to thin the nail polish with? I'm guessing lacquer thinner from say Tamiya or so?

Cheers D, i could not tell you what my nail polish is mate, it doesn't say, but i just mix it with my Auto thinners, if it mixes, away i go, if it goes all stringy, i know it's not compatible, so away it goes, straight in the bin..
