Thanks Guys ! Well i think this is the first time ive got this far on a project with no decision on wheels, but Ive finally found some ! These were stolen from a 37 Ford project that Id started, (no idea what kit their from? ) but Im well happy they are just what i was looking for ... p/e discs should show through okay, so its time for suspension ! Going to need a LOT of cutting about to get it this low, so wish me luck eh !

So are you scratching the chassis mate? the cuda kits aint easy to get low, especially on big wheels but if you have a scrap revell 57 chevy chassis the rear has a good axle area to start from.

Personally, i'm not sold on those wheels, but that is just me, EVERYthing else is looking awesome mate, especially that stance.

Stitch, no new chassis, just chopping the suspension parts about, maybe offset the spindles a little, and if it's still tight a slight tyre trim ! I'll get it as low as I can you know that right ! Thanks Dennis... And Dale their the only rear wheels i can find that big, and have matching smaller ones for the front ! Think they look quite unusual, and have a real bare metal look to them which is cool ! Wait till it comes together, hopefully your change your mind ! Your more than welcome to your opinion mate, and I appreciate you saying it !

Well im still on this, bit of a delay as i cant cut my p/e discs out so i cant use them yet ! And i eventually went back to the original wheels, as i found plastic disc brakes that fitted them ! So ive been working on the rear first, tops of the tyres were cut down, the top of the diff was smoothed, the tunnel was enlarged, and the inner arches thinned... anything that lowers it. And its just at a height i can live with, anything lower will require new inner arches etc, major surgery as the rear seats wont fit ! Heres the rear mocked up, with the chassis and axle in. Front is just resting in place but this will be the real challenge...

Thank you guys, brief spell in hospital for a hernia repair has stopped play for a while, but I'll be back on this as soon as I can ! Been thinking of future projects to build... Funny how I've not thought much about all the projects I've got still unfinished... icon_whistle

Hope the hernia recovers ok mate, the folk i know that have had them say the recovery can be the worst bit cos you really cant do much that involves moving

Good luck with the hernia mate, it can be painful for a while after the operation... but more time for building, as it's not physically strenuous.

Thanks guys, Yes I was in Tuesday, let out 24hrs later and I could hardly walk. Just been sleeping on and off for days and it doesn't feel much better I did think of an idea for the induction on my Hemi, it includes a pipe that fits over the distributor, so the leads exit 4 each side ! It's similar to a twin turbo look but has pipes going to the back of the grill, for air intakes ! Ok probably better to wait for me to build it, I'll show you soon hopefully !

Felt a bit more with it today, so spent a couple of hours on the Hemi.. egyptian Nice to be back modelling, hopefully get some time next week to get the suspension complete. But for now heres how the Hemis shaping up ! I smoothed the valve covers, enlarging the holes id drilled to accept black tube that sits flush. In to this i can add the yellow HT leads. Induction is a silencer box, smoothed with added metal rings etc. From these i`ll run 2mm solder wire down towards the rad, the distributor has a tube fitted over it to feed the leads out each side ! I quite like it, simple but it looks good with the metal pipes running out, i`ll add these once the engine is in place ! More soon, thanks fer` lookin in Folks !

That is looking awesome mate, really nicely done. I think the deadline might get stretched a little, as most are struggling, and i'm sure everybody wants to see some finished products.

Quick update, slow progress but a quick update ! Suspension is as far along as i can go, need the floor/interior/body together before i can finish up the front suspension ! So its bodywork time.. Smoothed door handles and mirrors, both have big holes to fill. Plus a smooth front valence with the wings blended in, and the bonnet pins smoothed off ! im loosing the window surrounds too for a cleaner look ! Primer coat coming up and paint next ! !

Thanks guys, and thanks also to the admin guys for the extension on the time ! Well it's painted, finally ! Really don't want to rush it so I'm leaving it for a few days to harden before polishing, but I like the colour it glows !
Have a couple of bits to finish up, painting suspension / inside the body etc but she'll be done by the end of the week !
Pics when it's finished now I think !
