You’re really conquering the beast here. That’s lower than I’m used to seeing a Charger stance wise but it does have a good look to it.

Started on the rear chassis and rear end last night. Looking through the chassis parts box came across a spare hurst hemi under glass chassis that I thought that would work and so far everything is going to plan. After cutting down the chassis had a bit of luck on my side and rails from both chassis line up with each other which makes life easier, all I had to do was add some evergreen to join the two rails and added a cross bar to strengthen it up. Now have somewhere to mount the 4 link to which I am working on at the moment. Also have started adding evergreen to on side of the wheel well and will start on the rest of the floor pan tonight. Just for something a bit different found a diff in the parts box from a parted out dodge nascar truck, that was the right length, and changes it up from the usual diff you find under these. Cheers and thanks for looking

Thanks Les and Dale for your comments, Dale at the end of the day a diff is a diff and if its good enough for a nastruck thought it was good enough for this build.

Hello Steve, Really cool fab work going on here. I appreciate the work going into this. Taking notes. I have never seen a diff like that before. Looks really beefy. Enjoying watching this build. Carry on sir...

Thanks Mark for your comment. After getting the diff in position found that I needed to make a new tail-shaft and in the parts box all were a bit short so cut the ends of one of the revell mopars tail-shaft and made up my own. Now my issue was that there wasn't enough room for the tail-shaft as it was hitting tunnel and not aligning up so removed the trans tunnel from this kit and replaced it with one from an amt 71 pontiac trans am tunnel that I had in the parts box which is much deeper but in turn had to modify the interior floor pan so it would fit properly. Have also made a fuel cell for it and looking at the pics the other night thought the vent window frames were way too thick so I have also thinned them out and looks much better now. Probably would have been easier to have replaced the chassis with a revell chassis but where would the fun be in that. Will post some pics hopefully tomorrow afternoon

Looking very much forward to seeing how this part turns out. Thanks Joe got some primer on it today and just need to clean up the rear a little before paint but still need to remove the torsion bar mounts and make a couple out of evergreen to align up the torsion bars so everything looks correct. Cheers and thanks for looking

I like that back half. The frame rails are in just the right amount. Not too narrow like pro street.

Progressing nicely. Question: I've noticed that you are using a grey "mock up putty". What is that exactly? Just wondering.
My opinion on the wheels is: I like the originals. I also like the black ones, but probably not in black. I also like the final option. The tight spokes seem to go with the grille.
Cheers.

The mock up putty is what we call blue tak here in Australia, is the stuff you put posters and the like up on the wall. Like using it for mock up as its so easily removed after mocking up and it lasts basically for ever. I also use it at times for masking up for those hard to get to places that you cant tape before paint

Nice work Steve, the subtle wing at the back looks great. I used the same chrome rims on my charger last year but with gold centres

This is fantastic stuff. I love the out of the box thinking. This will be so boss when it's done.
Thanks for the info on the blue tak. Going to see if I can find it tomorrow. I appreciate the tip regarding using it as a mask.
