A chassis for one of the hasegawa american cars just arrived with the post, it beat the kits as they were sent with a courier so take longer. This ebay seller will get great feedback as they could have just chucked it out and said nothing as it wasn't included in the pics. brilliant service

I remember those. I think they were Ronals. Please correct me if I am incorrect. You got it spot on mate, they actually did a rerun of them a couple of years ago in more modern sizes, and the vw guys are cutting origonals up to make custom 3 piece wheels.

Nice haul mate, that suspension set is pretty amazing too. I bought 3 sets of each mate, since my attempts to copy your 4 links never turn out very nice it seemed the best option. And its what i need to get the delaheye back on the bench since my scratching wasn't up to snuff, lol

Just arrived from c1, this is the vw caddy and uses a revell mk1 golf for parts. Very crisp molding and includes both a net and tailgate. I'll probably use one of the corrado engines as I dont think I'll be opening the hoods on them and they are supposed to be a g60 (supercharged engine) but since the revell 16valve mk2 only has an 8valve I'm not really that hopefull

The good news: While several Aoshima boxes show two cars on the lid, this is the only one to contain two body shells, although only one car can be built. The bad news: The next release of this kit (February?) will include enough bits to build both... The reason for the chromed seats is they included the bumpers and grills on the same frame, which needed to be chromed. It comes off O.K. with Dettol, I wanted both the low-backed buckets for another project which exists only in my imagination. While this is one of the more generous of the Aoshima kits with regard to left over bits, there can be many boxings of the same vehicle with some containing only the bare minimum of parts while others have lots of nice spare stuff. If I'm buying Aoshima - and some other Japanese brands - (usually from Hiroboy, like yourself) I go to this site to check what's in the any particular box: as they usually have pictures of the contents and of the instructions for each entry, and the instructions have a page showing what you're getting (and what's spare), a sort of illustrated inventory.
Regards,
M
P.S., I take it this is the pickup you mention?

O.K., call me a thrice-damned liar...
There may be others, there's 1430 entries in the Aoshima list and it's gone half past three in the morning - I give up...

M

Just arrived from air trax in finland, a vw 411 and a vw 412. I'm glad they arrived before the chaos thats coming this weekend with leaving the eu. 412 411 pretty interesting cars that there aren't many left of. The last rear engined air cooled cars vw designed. The beetle kept selling but these just didn't have the same following even though they were much better cars. Still slow though, lol

Nice score Stitch, I'm not up with my beetles, is that what they call a square-back ?
I'd like to build one, nearly bought a 1:1 version a few years back, God it was LOW ! That's fine with hydraulics, but this thing just scrapped, I'd have never got over speed bumps with it !

These were vws first cars with the type 4 engine mate, a bit bigger than the squareback, maybe about the same size as an ro80

Just arrived today. This is the second time i've bought this set as the previous one got stolen off my doorstep by my junkie neighbour I've also found a place that sells spray cans of house of kolor paint so have a few bright colours coming home. I think this lockdown could get expensive as i've spent way too much time on ebay. The next kit to arrive is a very rare vw scirocco curbside in 1/24 that I plan to mix with the leftovers from the pick up motm
