Engine time!! Alright!! My favourite part of any build. So far I have gotten a bit done, very time consuming on this one though. Scratch built fuel block on the back of the blower. I spent over an hour just plumbing the injector lines into the fuel block! Valve covers and blower are Molotow liquid chrome through the airbrush, over gloss black base. Also painted and wired the MSD ignition module. Thanks for looking. Very impressive detailing on that engine Bruce! Ignition wire routing, lay and looming are adding a true touch of realism to your engine. Are those anodized fittings an RB Motion or Pro-Tech item?

Very impressive detailing on that engine Bruce! Ignition wire routing, lay and looming are adding a true touch of realism to your engine. Are those anodized fittings an RB Motion or Pro-Tech item? Thank you Joe, the Fittings are Detailmaster ones, painted with Tamiya clear red and blue. I use a mixture of DM and Pro Tech ones. The distributor is from Connkur Model Accessories. First time using one, best pre wired distributor I have ever used! The leads fall and sit just like real ones would, but are still firm enough to hold shape. Come with boots on the cap end and also a small bag of pre cut boots for the engine end.

I just did zoom in on the distributor and it certainly does look the part. Most times I still drill mine out and fabricate the wire boots myself but I have ventured out into the world of aluminum distributor housings a time or two. This engine build of yours looks like LOTS of fun and definitely worth every penny spent.

Snuck in a little work on this one over the weekend.(whilst trying to build my MOTM wagon-Insane I know!) Anyways, got the chassis prepped and painted. Just went for a Tamiya Racing White, as white suits the shape of these Skylines so well. Have also discovered that the chassis and body will have to be assembled before I can fit ANYTHING to it! So that should be a lot of fun. I also got a guide coat on the body. Still a few wrinkles to iron out of it yet. Thanks for looking.

Made some progress on this over the weekend. Started on the interior, with a bit of flocking. Also got the engine fitted. I thought it was going to have to go in after the body was assembled, but workout a way around it. Now the extra wiring whilst it's fitted starts! That lower pulley only just has clearance! Still got to get the radiator in there yet!
Thanks for looking.

So have had another look at this SOB. I got the body painted, which will allow final assembly once it's all foiled, etc: Quick mock up with the new injection scoop, ala Mad Max: I also tried out the "masking tape seat belt" method. Gotta say, I am pleased with the results, should look the goods once in the car: Thanks for looking folks.

Scoop looks way better, and seat belts.... WOW!!! Awesome idea, what did you paint the tape with? Enamel or Acrylic?

Hey all, back working on this. Have now named it HEMISUKA ( They are known as a Hakosuka in Japan) Interior is pretty well done. Also have the radiator in, to be plumbed and the headers on. This is about as far as I can go with the chassis now. Body on next. Thanks for looking guys.
