Looks like a real good idea for a build to me and I think the dually wheels make it look more of a work truck.

Thanks Dennis. I was going to clean up the desk this morning but first first added a frame around the bed first. Hoping to stain the wood tonight so I can start adding the PE rails and rivets, maybe some L brackets here and there. The detail is pretty good on these stips.

Thank you guys. Here is last nights work. While I was running errands I completely forgot about the wood stain. Luckily the wife had a marker she had purchased for touch-ups after we moved. It's darker than I would have chosen, but I did not get it done already, I would have procrastinated. This keeps me going. The cab and hood are also in primer (not shown). Thinking some reflective lenses, taillights and a license plate frame and the bed will be ready to throw some stuff in it, after a few little touch-ups on paint.

So, you have made STAKE sides with a STEAK knife..... that's modelers ingenuity for sure... looks good Joel, and i like all the riveted bits and pieces too mate.

I like it. The marker stained good enough. Looks like a work truck and the rivets are a good touch.

I wasn't too sure when I was cutting up all the PE Strips. Now I'm convinced. Now I see I was pretty excite with it all. Some of the strips are way off centered. I%20dunno_zpsgjbxiscc

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. Here is where the cab is at. I used (or tried to) Blair Pletcher's weathering technique. Not too happy with it but I don't have much time as I'm flying out the last week of August. Here is also the most peculiar combination of supplies I just bought yesterday for this project.

Going to have to bow out of this one. Just not going to work out for me. I'm going to try to focus on the anniversary build instead. Back in the box. It was heading in the right direction but will finish at a later time.
