Hey everyone! I'm excited. I had been trying to download my pictures from photobucket and it kept giving me an error. From past experience I also know it takes a pretty long time to do so. I found a Chrome Plugin that lets you download albums in seconds. It was $1.99 but it was well worth it. Downloads a zip file and then you can upload them wherever else you want. I just re-read this and it sounds like an advertisement. I recommend it for all you that have been hit by PB. Here's the link to it: chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/photobucket-album-downloa/jmpbbfglflhdhbmimlcacoojpkeopelc?hl=en

Well I finally finished transferring my pictures from Photobucket to Fotki. With the Chrome add-on it took me total about 2 hours total. Not too bad. Now I can start updating forum icons which I was afraid we would lose.
Just a note for those of you making your transition from PB as well, don't forget to update your pics in your Galleries so we can continue to enjoy your past builds.

I'm lucky i think, every one of my PB pics were saved on my hard drive first, so really i didn't lose anything like some, just had to update everything here, some of which i keep stumbling across, that i haven't done yet, but Flickr is way better, i went to PB tonight to see if i could get on, well, eventually i did, it was pop-up after pop-up i reckon it was 5 mins just to get into my library, then they wanted me to do a survey..... i think they got told. !!

I've had a paid account with those guys for just over two years now because I ran out of room with the free one. I guess they are giving me until December of next year to upgrade. I dunno if they are trying to commit a hiri kiri or if this is going to be mainstream from photo hosting companies across the board yet. I'll be sitting tight for now to watch what happens though.

I dont see them lasting after this, there has been nothing good written about them, and the bad publicity will stick to them as it did with the pinto (but less fire)

I agree Les. Same with me, Joe but I'm not taking any chances. I've downloaded everything off of PB. If they decide to pull something shady, I've got my pics over on Fotki already. Oh...and they've lost my business for sure.
