Ok everyone, so who can help me understand what is really going on with Photobucket? I personally haven't seen the $39.99 a month fee that people are mentioning. I do pay $2.99 for additional storage only but my pics still work as far as I can see. I know it sucks for a lot of people and sites but I'm a little confused as to who is out of luck and who is still good. I hope not too many of you have been impacted by this.  |

They got me want 60 to 399 to share so my wife open a pb for a while becomes u can share to a certain point I open a flicker account just got to learn to use it and yes it suck I used pb all the time I think it's all about money

I have 2 accounts, 1 is 99.8% full, so i started another one under a different name, which is 5% so far. I pay nothing, and never have. A lot of people talk about 3rd party linking being the problem, i don't know what that means, but all i do is copy IMG and paste..... no dramas so far. Maybe Aussies are just special...  |

Think they just made it difficult for a while, to get people to sign up for better deals, another money-making scheme !

And that is.............what it's all about right there. If somebody could come up with a way to charge for the oxygen we breathe then we'd be charged for that too. You can bet your bottom dollar that all photo hosting sites will eventually follow suite with what PB is doing. Lemme put it this way...................I'll be shocked if it doesn't happen. |

I have a free account (2GB) and so far have used 1% which is nothing. Checked it today and didn't see anything about a fee, but I haven't uploaded anything lately either.

There's a tutorial in the help section mate Got it sorted mate, thanks, and even managed to redo the header pic, it's got me scratching my head though, pretty hard to change how you post pics at my age, especially after posting through PB for 6 years.. |

Once you get used to it, you'll find it easier. It's just different but better in a lot of ways, eg. I've only seen it down once and it was for an update after all those hacks a couple years ago |

and out of most peoples reach financially, $10 a month, from millions of people... no problem, but now they will get NOTHING from millions of people.

So here's what I got from PB yesterday through email. Remember I have a small plan for which I've been paying $2.99 a month for.  Nice to know I have some time. I didn't know when my subscription was up so I did a little digging around. Seems like it doesn't matter. Here's the additional info I found on their website If you were a Plus Account subscriber in good standing as of June 1, 2017,
you will continue to have all the privileges you have enjoyed including 3rd
Party Hosting until December 31, 2018 as long as you maintain your
subscription.So for those of you that haven't been affected yet, looks like we eventually will. I'm going to start to download all my albums and find another site. I suppose i was lucky with PB, EVERY photo i have taken, is stored on my computer, then uploaded to PB, it's the only way i know how to do it,
THankfully..... so all i had to do was re-post things through fliker. If they go down this route, we might need to look at
an uploaded service one day..

Yes I agree I started a flicker account just got to fig it out pb is nice but then the ouch all is is about money and greed some business got they have to pay no choice but it just sucks!!!!!

I haven't heard a word from PB and I have the same $2.99 plan Iceman has. I have all my pictures saved on my old computer and on flash drives. I have to load all my pics on it anyway, can't get my Alienware machine to take my camera. I'm waiting to find out the best place to move to before I start trying to load all my pictures there. I'm getting too old and crotchity for this stuff.
