Smack it out of the park D, those wheels would look great on a muscle car build too..

It will be a fun build. The two tone paint scheme won't be easy and the Offenhauser turbo engine is all chrome but I think I can doll it up a little.

Smack it out of the park D, those wheels would look great on a muscle car build too.. The wheels are very nice and different from what you would expect on an Indy car. Especially an old one.

Nice choice Dennis. That engine is going to look great once you've gotten your hands on it.

Got a little more done. Two tone paint job is giving me fits. Has to be touched up. If you notice on the box art above at the end of the side decal it does an upsweep and that was hard to duplicate, at least for me. Primed parts. I am going to have to do some work on these finished parts but I have some ideas for that. Here's a shot of the stock wheels and my version. I used transparent gold on the top of the wheel spokes and the drum behind the wheel. Looks pretty and shiny for real but doesn't look that way in the picture. They look good from a distance. Got a little done on the engine, not much. The wire holding rod comes right down on top of the plugs when I put it on so there won't be any physical wiring. Last but not least is LIZZY coming across the paint jars.

Had to wire the engine after all. The tube I thought was a wiring tube was a brace for the roll bar. Why a brace for the roll bar would connect to the engine head makes no sense to me so I left it off and hand wired the engine. This is a mockup with the exaust and intake just stuck on. Still have the turbo setup to do and transmission.

Thank you Poet. I have a resin Offy from Replicas & Miniature of Maryland and I thought it was about the best representation of this little engine you could get but I like this one also. Pretty nice for a kit engine. I've done several kit Offy's and I think this one is about the best I've done....so far. First turbo Offy for sure.

Man that engine has a lot of detail for something that can hardly be seen when it's together
