Ooohhh man! It feels good to start a new thread. egyptian So I finally got around to stopping by the storage I'm renting for all my kits. Picked up a few basic things and pulled this parts lot from a collection I recently purchased. The Fleetline had been sprayed silver and then scratched off in most places. Really look like someone had used their fingernail to try to scrape it off. This weekend I started on the body and sprayed some primer over it all. The wheels were already red so I popped off the chrome caps and left as it. I think a black wash will get the look I'm going for, for them. I didn't spray the hood and I think I like the way it looks like that. What do you guys think?

Looks good Joel. I hope the wheels came from a '59 Galaxie kit and not from a Galaxie Ltd kit. Those kits cost too much to rob from, at least for me.

What you are doing here looks fine. sheesh....kit bashers!!!

This has a good look about it. I like the wheels in the first pic but I don't know the finished pic you have in your head. The whitewalls and steelies always work.

If you go with the DZ's, you need to take a bit more out of the suspension, like as much as the pink bit in those props mate, but i honestly think, unless your going all out on the paint, use the steelies mate, looking good too.

This looks especially nice when you go back to Picture #1 and look at that raggedy (Word Censored By Forum Administrator) box of parts this started out as. Mighty Fine work Sir Ice!! katana_zpsefydonpk

Looks awesome Joel - not sure what you were watching on the TV - kind of a freaky looking scene there, BUT - the fleetline is definitely coming along nicely!!!

Looking great so far Joel!!! Not to worry 'bout those panel lines. A drag or two with a pick and those'll clean up nicely.

Thanks guys.
Dennis -I agree bud.
Tom - if I was building it meant the wife was watching something silly, stupid, or ridiculous and wasn't paying attention. Lol
Joe - that's exactly what I had in mind. Last resort, back to the hobby knife.
