This whole thing started from the cover pic on an old October 1963 Rod & Custom magazine.
I bought a copy of the magazine off the evilBay and it had some great interior photos so.........I just had to do it!
I had done this to an old AMT 63 Vette many moons ago, hmmmmm ... time for a new life........
So after stripping it bare, and fixing the rear wheel arches, I set about copying the car in the mag.
And this is what I came up with.....
The interior was a whole project in itself, lots and lots of half round styrene strip!!
I used a '67 Vette chassis as the old AMT 63 chassis was .... well .... just crap!
The correct Radir wheels were very kindly donated by a member from another forum and I cast some old AMT Firestone tyres to make wider rears too.
The engine is a Revell Part Pak 283 Chev dressed up with a fuel injection manifold and hand made aluminium intakes
Other main mods include the extra tail lights and exhausts, the removed front indicators and custom grille made, I also filled the B pillar scallops and deepened the front fender ones.

And yes the original car is a '63, but with the rear window split removed.
