Well I had it mostly painted a nice burgandy red, and it all looked ok. Then the body wrinkled all over so I grabbed the body I was going to use for the dio, got it flatted and primed, and ran out of red paint. Ok no big deal, I grabbed a tin of black and got it all painted again when the roof of the bug looked like it had been flatted with p40. No big deal, waited until it was dry, and reprimed it and dropped it. At this point I lost my temper with it, threw it, but it didn't damage it so I stomped on it. I'm almost ready to give up on this build, bloody sick to my back teeth of painting it. If the other body cleans up ok I'm still in and it's just getting brush painted. I dont even care what colour, I just want it finished and out of sight. This would have been the colour  and how it looks now  |

That would have been a nice color mate, ( much nicer than blue) instead of stripping the wrinkled one, just flatten it off a bit and hit it again i reckon.

OK so some models deserve to be stamped on, they just won't do what you want em to, but next time just chill and it will be fine... wiping%20brow_zpsgqh5sg63
Oh and if you lowered the front best make sure the inner wings (under the bonnet bit) still fits. My Tamiya bug was slammed and I had to cut this bit up to fit the front suspension in !

I'm not going to make it guys, as a last resort I thought I would just clear the primer and have a grey paintjob. The first 2 dust coats of clear went on fine then on the first wet coat it wrinkled again and just on the body again. All the other parts are fine, just the body seems to want to keep wrinkling

Mist cote a darker shade, then block back those wrinkles, like Larry says, RAT-BUG . At least its done..

yup fact of the matter you see more being built then finish of cars of all sorts so as dale hit again give it a sand and call it just would be something you'd see rolling and not a trailer queen

Spent most of the last 2 days polishing up the paint, getting rid of runs and pretty much down to bare primer, and got it looking much better. The sail panels in front of the doors still look awful but I did what I could with them. The paint is grey primer with a couple of light coats of clear but the clear is most likely polished off by now.  |
