Hello everyone! I found out about this site at Jerrys Cherrys' forum and it looked like a great place, so I decided to join in. I'm sure many people know me already, but for those who doesn't, here's a short introduction...
I'm a 20 year old Greaser from Finland and I've been building models since I was six. Currently I spend most of my time in the garage working on my 1:1 '62 Chevy II project, but together with my dad we also run Stock Eliminator with '74 Chevy Malibu Classic and a '60 Impala HT is sitting in the garage too. Anyway, my main interests are Drag Racing cars and Traditional Rods & Customs and that's mostly what I'm building. Classic cars with modern engine, wheels, drivetrain etc are not my favorites, but no matter what style it is, I enjoy seeing well built models.

Hi Niko, welcome to the forum !
Remember seeing some of builds, didn't you build a 60 Impala ? Think I've seen some footage of you racing the Malibu too, look forward to seeing your next project !

Thanks Everyone! It's feels great to be here. I've spent some time seeing the older posts and looks like we have a bunch of very talented builders in here! Now I guess it's time to post a couple of my builds in here too....  Lowlife: Yep, I built this Impala two years ago. In my opinion you can't get much better Cruise-around type of car than that one. With the high gas prices we have around here, I'm happy it has almost stock 283 SBC (with a bit healthier cam) and PowerGlide trans, I can get a decent mileage with it and that's why I can take part on so many Cruise Nights during the summer.  Malibu's engine is now being freshened up a little. Hopefully we can do some better ETs next summer!  Lucas: Yep, I'm a member on MCM too and I've been sharing several builds in there as well. But, somehow I think I prefer these a bit "smaller" forums, maybe it's because I can't keep up with the number of new posts that are made on MCM every day. Some fine machines there. Those 283's were good strong engines.

Bid D, you're right, 283 is a good engine. Actually I'd like to build a high performance 283 that screams with high RPM some day. But I know the price tag on those is pretty big, so it's not going to happen in several years.
