I had to go out and buy a pick up kit for this build, and i have a soft spot for these old things. The stance will always be LOOOOWWWWW, as i just can't bring myself to do anything else. The kit wheels are way ugly, so i might run with these truck style rims.... for the moment. BUT, this will shock you all......... i'm sticking with the 6 cylinder.... With a few upgrades though.... stay tuned..

Keeping the 6 seems like a very aussie way to build it, at least thats how it seems from reading street machine's web site.

Good choice on the wheels....but a 6 cylinder. Will seem like a waste of rims and tires. Ha! Good start.

Thanks for the interest men, i am still not set on those wheels yet, but i'll see when it is closer to being done. BUT, in order to fit something of size, i needed to narrow the diff, left side done as a comparison. Then the rear frame rails. Then add some plastic, so i can file out the frame, so it sits lower. Now. back to the bench..

Spent a good hour tonight making these extractors ( headers) for it out of solder.

Some really nice work going on with this build. Nice work on the headers Dale. Is that a Candy Red on that motor?

You did a really good job on those extractors Dale. Making them from solder isn't as easy as it might look.

This is looking awesome Dale the detail work to the motor and chassis is stunning. Hope you're going to stick with those rims as they really suit the build. Looking forward to seeing more of this one.

Thanks guys, well, considering you all want me to keep these wheels, which probably is a good call considering it was the "instinct pick" i had, i thought i should clean them up a bit. So i stripped the faded chrome from them, and did my FIRST alclad job, with Aluminium Alclad, i did not want the chrome look.
