nice work Steve. cutting down those chassis seems to be a common thing around my house. this looks very cool!! I am a big fan of "stock" appearing paint and trim on pro streeters. not a big fan of graphics. speaking of paint, have any idea of the color...

Another tuff-(Word Censored By Forum Administrator) build there Steve, nice work making the chassis fit too. Those wheels are sweet as too, and HUGE!!

Thanks everyone for your comments. Have now decided to use the front air dam and rear wing from the kit which will be painted semi gloss black and thinking of painting the body in green go or possibly hemi orange but leaning towards green go. Shame the kit doesnt supply the stock decals with the kit so undecided if I will use the kits decals, will know once I have the paint on it as the stance and rims may be enough to get the look I am after. Here is a pic of the kit I am using hence why I have gone the pro street route. Cheers Steve

That color really works Steve, and the different interior color will look good too, a tip, mix your interior color with some flat white (undercoat i use), it will tone the color down a bit, and give it a kind of leather look.

Thanks for the comments everyone nearly painted it in magma red but the parchment caught my eye and glad I did seems to have brought the lines of the car out. Much appreciated Dale for that tip will definitely try it out. Cheers Steve

Here is just a small update with what I have done over the past couple of nights. Have polished up the body and now waiting for some bmf before it gets a clear coat. After polishing felt there was a lot of area on the hood with just paint so decided to use the hood decal from the amt plymouth duster. Once I decided it looked okay clear coated the bonnet and will get a polish tonight after I finish the bmf for the body and hopefully have the body in clear coat in the next day or two. Cheers and thanks for looking

That is looking great Steve, and that hood decal really sets it of, and breaks it up at the same time. Great shine too mate.

Thanks Dale it did need something on the hood as there is so much real estate and it just looked too plain with just the scoop. The other bonus is that its keeping with mother mopar. On the paint side think I have to take my pics indoors as the paint has so much metal flake its really hard to take pics of it.

hey Steve, looking good man. lots of people (including me) really make a boundry with dodge and Plymouth at the 1970 year. 71's really took on a different shape. I think they look pretty cool pro streeted though. you really did nail the stance. the black accents on this will really make that color pop.
wanted to make 1 suggestion. when shortening or cutting your chassis, especially on the super bee chassis, make your cut at the very end of the chassis. there is a bar or support at the end. cut that off and save it. then cut the chassis down to the length you need and clue the part of the chassis you cut off and you will have a nice seamless transition. always try to cut on seams or chassis supports. not that I am an expert, but I find it works for me. look forward to more of this build.

Thanks for the comments Tubbs, Joe and Dale hope to have more of this build happening in the next couple of days, as I am working on the 78 truck at the moment. Normally Tubbs I would do it that way but I wanted the depressions in the floor pan to line up and not look like they are shortened as with the center section I cut after one of the impressions and then cut the next one after hoping it will end up looking seamless and untouched. Dale thought the same when I tried it as on the lid, it was a bright red and it actually turned out a real deep red which I am really happy about and at $10 for 4 large cans that I got various colours I'm not complaining. Cheers
