Picked this one up. Had bad paint and was missing a tire and wheel and the hood did not fit. Pulled it apart. changed the wheels and tires, stripped the paint, and gutted the interior of the bad seats and pulled off the bad glass. Cobbled it back together for a look at how it sits now. Going to pick up a AMT 68 Shelby kit and get some of the missing items to complete this one.

Yeah it is. That's another of my favorite mills. A 427 side oiler. Have no idea of the induction system on it. Needs dual quads and a tunnel ram in my opinion. On this build I could retro fit and entire inner fender unit and a chassis and interior from a newer AMT Mustang but I want that incorrect cheapo chassis and interior setup to remain. The model is 50 years old and deserves to be somewhat preserved for a more period correct look. I have made the transition and now adding more Ford's to my collection as I keep finding old builds of them. So, on some sites I am known as Mopar Charlie Would it be improper to change that handle to "MoFo Charlie'? Not sure if that is politically correct? FoMo Charlie just does not have that same catchy ring to it?

SOHC baby.... love these motors! I don't have many Ford builds, but they are in the majority of them. what isn't SOHC or DOHC is SHOTGUN!! look forward to the build. not many of these cars being built by people. you got a good start!!

Thanks Al, liking this model a lot. Thinking that motor painted Ford Blue and a different intake setup with hedders will look sharp. Was going to do a smaller engine but this one looks good and I think I will use it after all. A new chassis and a new interior setup and a nice paint job might be just what the doctor ordered. Thinking Alpine White with rocker stripes might not look bad with a blue interior?

That's the engine from a Ohio George Montgomery Malco gasser. It's a 427 SOHC with Hilborn mechanical fuel injection It was reissued in the later as a Pro Street model in the early 80's in red and black Round2 reissued it a while back. One of the best ones cast Up there on the Way Cool meter for sure
