This has been a work in progress for almost 4 years. It is a build that just keeps stalling out for some reason, (ADD?). Anyhow....there is a pretty big model show coming up in just about a month and I want this done and in that show. So without further delay reading my dribble get a look at this truck. The chassis only has 1 inch of the original chassis it started with. The front stub is from a AMT 68 Road Runner. I cut the original front frame off trimming around and leaving the floor and inner fenders intact. I then filed and shaped the floor and inner fenders etc to accomodate the new frame unit. On the back that is scratch built. I cut off the back section, added an extra cross member and added the scratch built rear chassis, tires and wheels. Bottom view, Top view,

This is truly jaw dropping work you are putting into this truck SC. I've never seen a Pro Street version of this truck before and you are making everything "click" together just right. Amazing imagination here!!!

I thought there was another one on this site? Much better detailed on the chassis than mine. I actually built this up pretty quick and was too concerned about the realism of the rear frame and suspension. I just wanted a Pro Street setup without the tires being way inward lie most Pro Streets seem to be. I set this up the way I like them. Thanks for the compliment Joe. This will not be a LRE with the stacks. The truck has to be done in a couple of weeks for a show. Not working on it today but this week there is going to be a bunch of work done. Hope by the end of the week to have a lot of this one buttoned up.

Yeah, yours and mine have been at this stage of building for awhile now. Your frame setup in the back is different than mine but they both look cool. Thinking I might have mine done before yours after all this time. I inquired and checked with the guy who made the cowl hood for yours. Seemed like kind of a jerk to me. Would not answer my questions even after I made mention you told me about him and his hoods. In short he did not share much except to say his stuff was on Ebay and that's what he had and that was it. Seemed kind of like I was disturbing him? So, no cowl hood in the end, which I wanted. Do not think the guy wanted to sell me one. I have pretty thick skin but I felt this guy just did not care for me so I quit communicating with him. Anyhow, buttoning up the motor for it and doing some interior detail. Hope to have it done in a couple of weeks, maybe??

Make your own cowl scoop, it's only plastic, it's not hard, then send him a pic and say " don't worry, i made my own "... selling them on E'bay..

Hi santachas if you really want a cowl scoop as Dale mentioned scratch one up yourself as it is super easy. Here is a pic with one I made up which only took me 15 minutes or so. I tend to make the sides of them a bit longer than I need so I can glue them from the inside of the bonnet.

Thanks, I could make one easily I have made several for car builds. Just want a few hoods molded up and done. Not in a hurry to get one but one will evetlntually appear somewhere. Nice thing about having so many models with so many needs. I can just find something else I need instead. Lol.

I like that hood, going to try to get one. It will look better with the tunnel ram setup I have planned for my truck. Speaking of tunnel ram setups! I have been getting the motor detailed up for my truck. Wanted something a bit different. This is what I came up with so far. Trying to tie it all in with coordinating colors. I am kind of liking it so far.
