Thanks Joe, saw that. I'm not as cheap as I am a realist. 14 bucks just seems a bit expensive for just a bumper. As an example I found a resin body complete with everything for 37 bucks. I could buy the whole thing and use the new bumper, tail lights, hood, grille and front bumper and either shelf the resin body or sell it for like 10 bucks and have all new stuff. Even that is a stretch as it is not cheap that way either. There is a swap coming up in a couple of weeks by me. Maybe I will have some luck finding stuff there??

As I've grown in the hobby I've found ways to spend less on each build. For instance (and I'm not gloating nor am I proud of it) my Revell 56 Ford F-100 cost me about $500 in all to build, which looking back was not only testing the bounds of sanity but was just plain stupid. I still spend more than most for each build but I don't go near the $500 figure any more. That build told ME where to go. Kind of like the tail waggin' the dog on that one as it was more of my depending on a display of "stuff" rather than relying on my skills as a modeler.

Very little Joe, waiting on warmer weather for painting. Meanwhile I have been gathering missing items. Thanks to Paul I have everything missing from this body to make the car as want it to be. Chassis will remain as is. Next is to paint it up. This one may get the slant six treatment, not sure yet. I did get the hood with no hole in it put in place. This is how it sits waiting fr the next chapter.

Looking real nice and a slant six will make it that much sweeter especially if you add triples or a turbo to it. Looking forward to seeing more of this build. Cheers Steve

Thanks Steve. My source for that stuff is no longer available but I may try making something for the engine that is high performance but it will not stick out of the hood. I'm still thinking red with a two toned red and white interior for the paint. This is just one of my many Barracuda's so this one is pretty well within the margins. I have some other Barracuda's that will be much more radical than this one. Chas.

If you need turbos I can recommend the hobby design ones (I've used both sizes), and if you have trouble finding them try hiroboy.com
