I got mine off of ebay for 7 bucks and I hear ya on the price. I NEVER pay full price for much anything. Great start on the paint and engine work bud.

Nice clean progress on that motor Sid! To no fault of yours, I can't believe that Revell left an ejector pin mark in the air cleaner tray. They could have at least let it end up under the air cleaner.

I also noticed some nice huge warts on the exhaust headers that I should have removed. Dang. 4fvgdaq_th
jpr23, I did a quick test of the hood fit with the engine in and the hood is not closing completely. I'm going to pop off the air cleaner and sand the bottom of it to lower it. Hopefully that will do the trick.

Body is detailed and clear coated. The color is fine but the finish is not as smooth as I would've liked. I'll probably try a bit of polishing. icon_hmm_zps07rcoppf I didn't even try to paint the "Camaro" scripts...the detail is very poor and I didn't think I could make them look decent.

Heya Sid, wet sand with some 3600 grit then walk it up through the 4000, 6000, 8000 and 12000 grit, wash it with mild soap and cold water, and then polish 'er out. You've got a good coat on there and with a little patience and elbow grease you're not that far from a mirror like shine pal.
