My name is Dennis. I am 5' 5" tall and weigh 200 lbs and am very, very stocky. Have been all of my life. My nickname has always been Big D. I was a custom knife maker for 30 years, now retired. Also a professional drummer for 25 years. 6 yrs. U.S. Army and Vietnam Vet. Diabetes has put me in a wheelchair and building models is all I do now. Besides model cars I also build steamboat models and doll house furniture. I also do recreational gold mining.
I don't build box stock, close sometimes, and I love to detail engines, I have a lot to learn about it though. I like to build Pre 1960 early F1 cars, classics and pro mods and anything in between that I just happen to like. The beauty of modeling to me is having the freedom to build what you want to anyway you want to and having fun doing it. Having fun is what modeling is really all about.
