Usually this event falls on the Bathurst 1000 weekend, so in the past auto entries have been low, but as the event was moved this year there appeared to be more auto entries, which is great and a neat '32 roadster won Best in Show, that's so cool, normally it's an aircraft or ship etc. There's is an abundance of DDA kits of Australian cars being built right now so they feature heavily in the comp. More in part 2 TJ

It's good to see some Aussie subjects coming out in styrene now, although the DDA kits are based on the die-cast moulds but they look to build up into real nice models. I'm just waiting for them to start some Mopar subjects.

Good LORD man!!! This is just sensational as well as very inspirational stuff here Tim. Thank you for sharing this with us and you're right about these Aussie cars that are now being produced. I'm not in the market for buying new kits these days but those are hard to resist.

Cheers Lowlife, yep that appears to be his 'Warbird'. Sorry man that's all the pics I got. I can't quite remember where DeeCee resides, but I'm guessing it would have either been a flight or at least a days driving to get here ... too far for a little show like this

Have heard lots of good things about this show. How were the truck entries? Is it a thing there or just a small section? I know the Wagga and recently restarted Tumut shows are heavily truck orientated, but most others I've been to might have half a dozen there, all lumped in together. Just trying to get a feel for that side of things, is the level of truck building on the forum a reflection of it in the wider scale modelling community?

It's been my experience that truck building isn't as busy as the auto/ light truck genre but it's still there and it's still a very cool genre. Take your builds for instance; I really get a lot of enjoyment in following your work and at some point I would like to build a Freightliner COE because of it.

Thanks for the pics, looks like it was a pretty good showing, and it is nice to see plenty of the DDA Aussie cars on the table too. Were any of those pictured yours ?

That is indeed a good question Dale. If so, did you walk away with any awards Tim?
