This kit stated out as one completed by my son. He did a great job on it for his first build and kept it for a few years but then decided he no longer wanted the kit so he gave it back to me. I really like taking kits that are already done and blowing them apart and redoing them. So with that I gave this a brake fluid bath and a total overhaul. I painted it with MCW Grabber blue and Mr Hobby white interior. I did add some resin 20 inch magnum 500s and wired the engine. Other than that this is a OOB build.
This build began with my sons previous work. Pretty good for his first ever build. I did coach him through it, but he really shows talent.
Now this is where I finished off.

It's always a good feeling when our kids want to pick up the hobby too and even more so when they do a good job at it. This is certainly the case for your sons work on this car and his work is definitely to be commended.
Your take on it is inspiring to say the least Brandon. The paint work alone is fabulous and then you add in the engine bay and interior work and it just throws it all over the top man. Beautiful Mustang Brandon!!

Thanks guys. Ya, the kit certainly did not need an overhaul, but I have a fondness for taking prebuilt kits apart and showing them some love. It's fun and challenging at times. Speaking of which, I have a glue bomb WIP coming up shortly for you to partake in.

There is a guy that show up at our local meets with exactly that blue version. It could be a model of his car! Done for the year but I will try to get a picture next season.
