I really like this one. I look at it and expect Joe Friday to get out. And then you look inside and expect Spicoli to get out. Well done!!!

So I'm scrolling through the pictures and thinking this is a pretty so simple it's awesome build.. those wheels set it off... Then I get to the first one with the doors open... DUDE there's a whole other world going on in this. LOVE IT! Van's are so cool. Awesome details sir. Very sweet ride.

Vans and panel wagons always seem to have a world of possibilities in them and I think good ol' Tony is taking every advantage of that fact with this build.

It helps when you build from memory and not imagination. The year and a half that I owned that van I was going from air base to air base on temporary relief assignments usually lasting only a couple of weeks so there was a lot of travel. By using the van I not only had complete control over my travel itinerary (no taking trains that would be either too early or to late) I was able to collect the travel messing and accommodation stipend and put it into my pocket. I spent hundreds of hours in that thing. It is one of the few vehicles I owned that I really wish I had kept. The sad part is that a week after I got rid of it the guy I sold it to pinched the battery cable (battery was behind the passenger seat) between the doghouse and the floor and burnt it to the ground. The burned out hulk sat in front of a local body shop for about 10 years before it finally disappeared.

I've had to drive by the totaled remains of one of my "wish I hadn't sold that one" for a while before. It's a weird hard to describe feeling.
