Hello everyone, first thread posted on CMS. Thank you for welcoming me. I will keep it short, my name is Jay I'm an old foggy I live in Orlando retired here in 2004. I have been building on and off pretty much my whole life. Originally I am from NYC and and made many a showing at the NNL East, MassCar, LIARS show and many others. I am just an average builder but have been very blessed to have all my models in either Model Car Magazine, Scale Auto and even Plastic Fantastic (showing my age). I even had a model of mine on the cover of Model Car Magazine. Since moving to Florida I basically kind of stopped building, focusing on my real hot rod (pic included) and really got into boating big time so modeling really took a back seat. I decided to slowly get back into it and started with a simple curbside Doyusha Bluebird 1600 (a really ugly kit). But it did get the juice's flowing so currently I am building a Moebius 64 Nova. I am getting a little more involved with this kit. It will have a full custom chassis, custom interior, engine and engine compartment, full trunk, smoothed and filled and some other things, we will see what happens. So I will be enclosing some pics of my Doyusha curbside, the Nova, my real hot rod and another little Toyota drag car with a full brass chassis. Thanks to all and I hope I could contribute some of my builds that will be as half as good as some of the builds I have seen here.  link |

Sounds like you've got quite the portfolio in modeling and we're definitely looking forward to seeing your work and kudo's out for the featured models in the mags. That's quite an honor in and of itself. We'll be looking for those pictures of the Doyusha, real hot rod and that Toyota drag car. I'm pretty certain that from the sounds of it, you're going to have NO problem fitting in with the good builds and all. Welcome aboard brother Joe  |

Thanks Jay I posted up a small tutorial in your Nova thread Jay. We'll work it all out buddy. Just takes a little getting used to but once you've got it down it's a breeze.  |
