2021 Dodge Charger R/T The BuildGuilherme Rosa (my friend) gave me this kit last Sunday at the CPMC Expo and he suggested maybe to add my McNally character to it. What a great idea! I have changed my mind about the color though. I am using Tamiya TS-54 Light Metallic Blue instead of the Tamiya TS-89 Pearl Blue. No one is related to anybody living or deceased. The StoryWith the road chase ended, McNally has the time to sit and reflect upon his actions. A cop had wounded the last person who had tried to kill the Boston, PI and she was waiting to tell her story to Lt. Det. Adam Troy. What is true is that a contract has been issued on McNally and it has cost him his relationship with Attorney Charlotte Rothmann and now McNally is a man all alone in Boston.    |

2021 Dodge Charger R/T The StoryThe female cop was Casey Westerfield who has sold him her old 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD V8 and had shot the man attempting to shot him in the back. She had identified herself to McNally and they had chatted together for a few minutes. He even thanked her for saving his life to which she was extremely grateful. The BuildThe engine was assembled and already I am deviating from the instructions. The instructions calls for paint the engine an assortment of blacks and silvers, but I'm going to paint the engine block Street Hemi Orange.    McNally will return... |

I am not familiar with the newer Chevys as I am more into the Fords, Mopars and foreign cars. I have 6 Chevys in my stash of 70 plus models waiting to be built.

2021 Dodge Charger R/T
The StoryMcNally gets a ride to the Hospital to talk with the remaining suspect who is still alive. He enters the room and the cop guarding him steps out. He pulls his Smith & Wesson Model 4506 from his should holster and sticks the nose of the gun in the suspects should and causes him much pain. "Who sent you after me?" McNally again sticks the gun into the suspects should and the pain is unbearable and he repeats the question, "Who sent you after me?" "Dean MaComber and he works for Dean Anderson." McNally sticks his gun back in his shoulder holster and leaves the room and the cop walks back in to guard his prisoner. The BuildTypical AMT! Fitment issues! The first picture is the strut cover on the left side with the body attached. Note the gap which I will have to fill. The second and third picture shows the firewall in place after I modified the firewall mounting points and lowered the firewall some. The unmodified firewall would stand as least the width of the plastic above the chassis. I wonder what else I will find? I thought AMT would have done away with these issues!    |

2021 Dodge Charger R/TThe StoryAs McNally leaves the Hospital, he knows that the hour is late and he should go home and have sometimes to eat. When he gets home, he finds Charlotte Rothmann upstairs in his bedroom packing the rest of her clothes and is startled by him. She wanted to leave him, but before she left him, she wanted to pack up the rest of her things and leave him a note on the kitchen counter and leave. Not this time. She was leaving him since she can't put up with his dangerous job. The BuildI felt like I should patch the hole up and I did. Since I now know the the hole is covered, I just felt that I should do it anyway. No one has said anything about the firewall. McNally will return...

2021 Dodge Charger R/TThe StoryIt was almost dinner time and McNally stops at Mario’s Back Bay Pizzeria to talk to Zach. “Hey Zach!” “Hi Mc! Been a while. How have you been?” “Good! Can we talk?” “Sure,” says Zach and he leads McNally down to the other end of the counter. “What’s up?” “I need a location on Jacob Anderson. Can you help?” “Sure! I need a few minutes. Hang loose!” Zach pulls out his cellphone and he calls a mate who puts him in touch with someone else. Zach puts his cellphone back in his pocket and he walks back to the end of the counter with a small piece of paper and he hands it to McNally. McNally shakes Zach’s hand and he palms him a $20 bill, turns and walks out.
The BuildThe wheels and tires have been assembled. The body is ready for paint and the chassis has been partially assembled.

Progress is looking good so far Mike. I like what you've done with the firewall to mitigate any fit issues. As far as AMT learning anything, I sent an email to them not too long ago when I was building their 1967 Fastback GT and let gave them some constructive feedback on the kit and what we as modelers were looking for as far as fit and the ever ongoing stance issues that alot of their auto kits have. I dunno whether they listened or not but they have the information. The more folks that speak up in a positive way to help them improve the more they may listen.

Some people who send in correspondence may do so in an unfitting manor and expect to heard even though they are rude and nasty. 2021 Dodge Charger R/T
The StoryMcNally stops at a large dealership in Chelsea that had a car he was interested in. The car was a 2021 Dodge Charger R/T in Bright Blue Pearl with a Black interior. It has power everything and an 8-speed automatic transmission. It was a beautiful car and more like something he could surveil in compared to the 2010 Charger Super Bee in Orange Pearl that he had now. But, the insurance company didn’t like the bullet holes, blown out rear window or body or the slipping transmission. The Super Bee was junk! He takes the car out for a test drive and the salesman did nothing, but talk and talk and it was driving McNally crazy! McNally finally spoke up! “Please be respectful and quiet while I test drive this car!” The salesman says, “I’m giving you the facts about the car. How it drives, its many features…” “I have a 2010 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee. It is basically the same car as this one. If you don’t shut up, I’ll hog tie you and stuff a rag in your mouth. Understand,” says McNally? “I understand. Sorry,” replies the salesman. After the test drive, McNally turns down the offer for the car which he thought that it was too much money and he walks away. He’ll let Victor Arronsky buy the car and offer him the car at a substantial discount. The BuildI fired up the paintbooth this afternoon and painted most of the remaining parts in the kit in various shades of black.    McNally will return...

2021 Dodge Charger R/T
The StoryJacob Anderson had received some of the property from Margret Archambault when she went to prison for murder and RICO charges and he rules them with an iron fist! His second in command is Dean Macomber and he updates the career criminal with the latest goings on in his group including McNally. Dean tells Jacob that several teams went out at different times and they had failed to kill the Boston PI. Dean suggests a different approach and Jacob is all for it.
The BuildThe chassis and the interior are nearly done and all the chassis needs are the wheels and tires and the interior needs the dash and steering wheel to be detailed.

2021 Dodge Charger R/T
The StoryMcNally decides that it would be best that he move out of his house and into his safe house which he keeps in Dorchester. He bought this old warehouse from the city dirt cheap and no one doesn't seem to know its whereabouts. He even installed a remote garage door opener so he could drive in and out at his leisure. The BuildAfter adding the tie rod to the spindles, I noticed that the tie rod could have been a little longer by about 1/8 inch. I cut the tie rod in half and added a piece if styrene tube to lengthen the tie rod. I also notice that this is a 4-door and the interior side panels have a slot for a shoulder harness and I added one to each side of the interior. Maybe I'll try my hand at making the shoulder harness receiver for the other side of the front seats.

The Story McNally stops at the Coffee Shop for a large coffee only to be met by a shooter with a long range rifle. As he hides behind his Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD V8, he peeks over the front fender and looks around for the shooter and he finds him on top of the building next to the Coffee Shop parking lot. The cops across the street at BPD Headquarters coming running out and one of the cops shoots the shooter on top of the building. McNally's life is saved, but Jacob Anderson will not be happy at this turn of events.
The Build I detailed the dash and the engine cover with decals. Some water and a little Solvaset and I didn't sand off any of the details as the instructions told me to.    |

The StoryMcNally stops at Lt. Det. Troy's office and tells him what had happened. They discuss that Jacob Anderson had arranged the hit and that was the second time in three days that someone had tried to kill him. Jacob had planned a fentanyl shipment to come in this week and they walk down to Narcotics and talk to Lt. Det. Diego about Narco plan for him. Jacob was to be arrested with the drugs and used for information about future incoming shipments. McNally wanted him dead and Lt. Det. Diego said no deaths. The BuildThe seat belts are all in. I cut some Evergreen square stock into short lengths, painted them semi-gloss black and one end was painted with Fluorescent Red for the seat belt release button. These were glued onto the seats with the Fluorescent Red end facing up.    |

The StoryMcNally is sitting in his easy chair at his safehouse when his door rattles. With his Smith & Wesson Model 4506 at his side, he approaches the door and looks through the peephole and he sees someone he hasn't seen in a while...Claire Corbin. He lets her in and she tells him that she was approached to kill him, which she turned down. McNally thinks that maybe it time to bring this all to an end!
The BuildI added the blackout trim to the Charger after masking the body.    McNally will return...

The Story It was a sunny Sunday afternoon when Jacob Anderson and company arrived at the destination for the drop-off of the Fentanyl. The transporter steps out of her pickup truck and she walks away from the truck with its shipment hidden in all of the small recesses of the pickup truck. Jacob and company move towards the truck and two of his crew get into the standard cab GMC 2500 pickup to drive it away to the processing area that Jacob had set up last year to break the truck down to get at the drugs. Suddenly, a group of cops and DEA agents come out of hiding and surround the truck and Jacob Anderson and company! Everyone is arrested and the truck is seized as evidence against the Anderson Group. Both Boston PD and the DEA have their work cut out for them and they are congratulating themselves on their capture. McNally is watching all of this from his vantage point high above the old warehouse area in Dorchester and smiling to himself. The truck was driven up from the Mexican border and in a big raid, the cartel was finished by the Mexican Police and US Federal agents.
The BuildAnother coat of paint for the Charger body and hood!
