Todays installment: Body work, It didn't really need much. But I was not happy with the door,bonnet and boot gaps. They were...soft...Soo, after some work to deepen and define the gaps I am much happier. It may not look it in these pics but the primer coat shows the difference. A few mold parting lines sanded down and two (Only two) sink marks to fill on the rear valence panel, made for a good day. The side scoops...Separate parts and a seam to fill. The tough one was the door vents/gills. They are molded separate and chromed. After stripping the chrome from them They had to be fitted to the doors. This required a fair bit of sanding and shaping to get them to look/sit properly (Probably my biggest 
with the kit) I am still not happy but, short of fabbing em up myself, not gonna sweat it...Good thing this is just a shelf build. Next came some sanding and a check coat of primer. It actually looked really good soo... A little filler primer brushed on a few spots and its ready for paint.
Next installment: Paint!! The decanted base is out gassing as I write this. So I might be revealing the finish color soon. Stay tuned!!!

Soo... I made my own back glass. I made a paper template of the opening, taped it to a piece of clear acetate packaging plastic. (I keep this stuff around for just such an occasion) Next time you get something that comes in a clear plastic container. Keep the container... Cut it to size, sanded the edges and rounded the corners. Then, I had to make a window frame on the body without screwing anything up. ( It was ready for paint at this point) Actually I had begun masking the lower portion of the body when I realized my oversight. Some styrene rod, careful application of glue after measuring twice and cutting once and Taa Daa!! window frame/trim. Glass slips in place comfortably from inside (Strip of tape is to identify the top of the glass) Its not symmetrical and can be installed (poorly) upside down. Once the body is ready for final assembly, a few drops of judiciously placed glue and the engine compartment wont be hidden.
