Tried making the louvers out of quartered cocktail sticks, not very successful I measured the louvers and they are 20mm wide the quarterd cocktail sticks are 1 1/4 mm so way out of scale. I have another idea up my sleeve let's see how that works.

This is really cool Ken.
Watching this space...
UPDATE March 15: I just noticed on the Spot Model website, someone has done a model of this very same vehicle. There is a small write up on it. You might check it out. Cheers.

Nice work Ken. After watching you build this I'm tempting myself to get the uscp transkit for the hasegawa pick up. Do you have any more pics of the grey car with the yellow lights? I'm particularly interested in the interior as I have an early 911r I'd like to do in the same colours

Hi all tried a mock up of loading the car, obviously didn't tie it up well enough, bit peed off the wheels don't turn on the car as its loaded (I wonder if it's not heavy enough they turn freely by hand)I think the speed is about right. The cab is a bit wonky will need to work on that youtu.be/lVeJWILrNCs
