A friend was good enough to hook me up with a cold air intake for my 300C, so in return i am going to replicate his 300C SRT Wagon. Starting with the Magnum kit, BUT, what i thought was an easy grill transplant really turned pear shaped, as nothing in the front is actually the same, grill, lights, moldings, and even the front of the fenders and bonnet (hood) were different as our wagons down here have the 300C front on them, so it was out with a donor kit ( which was put aside to build my own car) And then don't get me started on the difference between 1/25 AMT vs 1/25 Revell..... 5 mm wider..

Seems like a fair trade mate I know mate, said intake is over $400 landed from the USA, this will cost me about $150 after 2 x kits, wheel sleeves etc, and even got the correct paint matched at the paint shop... it's the least i could do, he didn't want money.

This is going to be very cool. When I went to the states in 2010 (back when the Magnums were a real hot ticket!) there was a couple at shows we saw with 300c front on them, real bad (Word Censored By Forum Administrator)!

I am glad we got the 300C front end treatment down under mate, way better looking ithink. Got some details sorted today..

This is a cool project Dale. Looks like you're doing your usual stellar "manipulation". Excellent progress so far. Looking forward to the result. My buddy Ace has a 300 also. He works down the street at our sister dealership. Got it used with 12k on it. I think it's a good looking car. Being a 300 man yourself, I thought you might dig it. Looks even better now with the windows tinted.

That is very nice mate, i prefer the first gen though, these newer ones lost the "gangster" look i think. Still very nice though mate, and thanks, the guy i am building it for is changing the paint a little, so will put this build on hold for a couple of weeks, so i can get it perfect for him.

Cool project DeeCee, does he know your building it for him ? Yes mate, he does know. He gave me a cold air intake for my 300C, and in return i offered to build a replica of his car for him. He's pretty stoked so far.
