I'm jumping into this one because several factors have conspired to push me to do it. I originally bought this kit to provide the drivetrain for next month's off road build but I found that it would sit too high for my taste. I had already planned on going post apoc with the Jeep anyway. Finally, I happen to be playing a video gamed called State of Decay II, which is a survival game involving zombies, and survivors with bad attitudes. I've got an idea of where I'm going with it but as you know, plans change. I hope some of you join the fun!

I decided to where I want to go with this build. I'm going the zombie hunter/destroyer route.
The rig in front of the Jeep represents some repurposed farm equipment that would be used to clear a path through marauding zees with defensive weapons for other threats. Here is a closeup of how I put the rig together. It is composed of gears that were in a bag of steampunk jewelry I bought last Halloween.
I had altered the axles and driveshafts expecting to use it on another build so I'll have to fabricate new trailing arms and reattach the driveshafts.

Thanks guys. Pete, I think you just named it, Henceforth it will be the Zed Mower.
Here are some new mockups. I fabricated the brackets for the mower blades using parts from the kit. I distressed the dash a bit by cutting out the controls and glove box lid. I then added a CB radio and boxed in the glove box. so I can stuff junk in it. I also fabricated the mount for the recoiless rifle, and 50 cal. For the gunner, I've got to figure out how to dress him up to look the part. Never done that before.
I also think I'll add a shield for the gunner.

Hey gang! I just wanted to post an update before I got too far along. A lot of the detail work was done Friday after painting the body Wednesday. I tried to get the blood color right but the silver body changed it a bit. I think I'll dry brush it with some brown wash. I plan to add more body parts like the hand coming out of the turn signal hole. It was the last thing I added before I quit for the day so I didn't get around to painting it.

I'm starting to wind this one down. I've added the promised body parts, and a bit more staining. I know that old blood is more brown than red, but brown doesn't have the same shock value. I still have some chassis work to do but this is pretty much it. Fyi, the driver is supposed to have a pistol in his hand but I knocked it off making these pics but I'll re-arm him for the final pics.
