I sanded the chassis pan and repainted it with Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black. I painted the interior seats and door panels with Tamiya TS-46 Light Sand. I painted the back side of the interior panel with Model Master Flat Black Lacquer. More Lotus to come...

I performed some assembly on the Lotus Europa this afternoon. The engine has been fitted with the carbs and air filter assembly, the chassis has been joined with the Y-frame, and the seats have been installed with the compartment divider. More Lotus to come...

Thanks Mark! I finally sat down and made an ignition coil. I used a piece of 1/16 inch styrene rod and shaped one end into a cone, painted it semi gloss black, wrapped a thin piece of Bare Metal Foil around the middle as a clamp, drilled a hole in the center of the cone and inserted my wire with a little glue. Done!

Progressing very nicely. My brother had the 1:1 back in the day. A light and nimble car to drive.(The car was parked and then broad-sided by a stolen car in a police chase). Your detail so far is spot on. Keep up the fine workmanship.

Thanks leon, Deano, Mark and Les! I had to move the Lotus body out of the way for another pressing project and I had placed the body on top of the chassis and it reminded me of an episode of "For The Love Of Cars" where the host, Philip Glenister interviewed a man who has a stockpile of Delorean parts and several unfinshed projects including a Delorean on a 4X4 chassis. Sort of like a monster truck-like vehicle. More Lotus to come...

I applied the decals this morning and it took me a while to do it. Some of the color stripes came off which could be attributed to the age of the decals or the decals are that fragile. I'll see if I have any gold decals that I can use or I'll get a gold gel pen. Now to let this dry for a day or two before I add any clearcoat. More Lotus to come...
