It's not that ugly a truck, and I've seen some pretty cool things built from them so I'm sure you'll pull out something wild

Quirky may be a polite description. I put my hand up to having a strange fascination for these things but don't actually have one - yet. Keen to see how this goes.

I been thinking hard on this one guys and decided to build a drag car hauler out of this. Now I don't know if I can use one of my already built Gassers for this build or do I need to build one for it?? If so not a problem. So far I built the chassis for the truck and that will be primed and painted tonight. More soon! Thanks for looking!

Thank Leon..Martin..Dale,appreciate your comments guys Thanks Dale,I been thinking about using the Big John Mazmanian 41 Willys gasser kit. That would look cool with a matching truck. I don't have one built so I would need to build that.I still have a little over two months to build both,I think I will make it in time.

Been doing some bench time this weekend.Completed the chassis, engine and tires. Up next will be the trailer then the 41 Willys. Oh, almost forgot to mention, this kit is a real pain in the (Word Censored By Forum Administrator) to put together. If your thinking about buying one ..DON'T!!! instruction sheet sucks and the trees are not numbered ! Not a fun kit to build !

There might not be numbers but it sure aint slowed you down. That chassis is looking great. I've heard the opening doors on this can be a bit of a pest to get on so that might be something to watch out for

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Got a little more done on the Chassis the last few nights. installed the wheels, painted and foiled the fuel tanks. Thanks for the heads up on the doors Les.Yesterday I spent about an hour fitting the two doors to the cab and now they fit great.I also sanded the cab and some other parts and primed those. This weekend I plan to have the cab and other parts in color.

Just now popping in here to check this out and man o’ man am I glad I did. You’re really making your way through this tough build rather nicely. I have a strange attraction to these trucks. So weird looking that it’s nice to have one in the display case if for nothing else a conversation piece.

Haha looking good Mike, nice clean build your producing !
Just looks sooo cute, I've stretched mine a couple of inches and it's now huge ! But yours looks like you've shortened it drastically, it's teeny !
Looking forward to more.... icon_shoutout_zpsg7nrfmdc

Thank you guys! Painted the cab and doors and applied the Big John decals.I'm gonna wait a couple of days then clear coat the cab and doors. added some foil to the top of the rear mud flaps and some white and black wash to bring out the details in the center.

Thanks guys I'm spraying the clear on now.I'm out of the Tamiya clear so I had to use the Rustoleum 2x clear. This stuff goes on just as nice as the Tamiya put it will take a little longer to dry. Not a problem,i'll just put it in my dry booth for an hour and a half and i'll be ready to go.That booth is awesome! More pics later today.

Thanks Bruce! Finished up the truck yesterday.I had a problem with the paint on the cab, thank god for brake fluid! I also had to fab up a hinge for the tilt front, the ones that came with the kit made the front of the cab lean down to much. Working on the trailer now,I just need to do a few more details on that and then on to the Willys Gasser. Here's a few pics of the truck and trailer with the T Bird Gasser on it. More soon. Thanks for the comments guys
