I thought that this build was too good not to share. Will is my youngest son, nearly 22 and this is a build he has been working on for a long time. He did the truck in his early teens pretty much straight out of the box except for the fuel tanks which he made from conduit. This is the kit he used for the truck. He had one trailer behind it and was going to build a second to make a road train but we went to a model show and someone else had already done it, albeit behind another prime mover so he looked for something else. This is the trailer kit he used x2, and this is what he came up with.... In Oz this is called a B Train or Stag tippers running at 25m or 26m under permit. What he did was cut both trailers, took a section out of the B(2nd) trailer and add it into the A (1st) trailer. He then altered the rear of the A trailer to accommodate the turntable for the B trailer and changed the pivot points for the A trailer as well. It's all new chassis from that big plate to the left of the hoist through to the turn table pin. Humbrol yellow chassis over white base and Holts duplicolour light silver for the bodies. His mother is making up canvas tarps for the tops of the trailers. He decided to leave the ringfeeder for the roadtrain on it. KFS tailights were used. I admit that there were times when I didn't think that this would make it across the line but it has and I reckon it was worth the wait!

praising-the-lord-smiley-emoticon That is amazingly detailed, what a superb looking build. Love the truck it self, and the trailers really turn it into a massive worker... Awesome work Will...

Thanks for the comments guys, Will was pretty chuffed to think that it passed muster on the forum. Your encouragement has fired him up to finish another one that's been half done for a long time.

Here it is with the tarps on. White calico? dyed a canvassy green colour and stuck to the plastic kit tarp to give it shape and support.
