One of my friends has decided he needs a nice Veedubya in his life (with a little subtle encouragement, lol). At the show on sunday he became quite taken with the black mk5 Gti but liked the idea of a v6 instead of the 2l 4 pot, and the 4x4 appealed even more so he's pretty set on a mk5 r32 unless an audi rs model pops up in his price range. For this build It will just be a big lowering job and pearl black paint with a set of nice wheels in the 19" flavour.

MK4 R32 is my favourite sounds nicer . But I like the way your going on this one I tried to steer him in that direction but he thinks there are too many boy racers with mk4s around here, I even showed him some of the hpa and donkeytec vids since I know he'll be tuning it. Knowing him he'll go for a supercharger instead of a turbo but i think I've convinced him to look at bags instead of static

Looks like a nice kit. I have a soft spot for these things, V8 killers here in Australia.

But still have a soft spot for the MK3 golf was the best car I owned I still miss my old mk3, all my mates went for vr6s so i went for the 2l gti. I just liked the look of the 2l with twin carbs. It was in mulberry purpleish colour, faded and broken trim, patches of random comoured repairs (i didnt just primer the repairs, i painted them too until i had enough for a respray) Unfortunately circumstances meant i had to get rid off it but if I'm ever allowed to drive again I'll have another. If you like mk3s I can happily recommend the fujimi kits, i have the vr6 and the cox versions and I'll be getting at least 5 more of them to use 2 for transkits, (wagon and jetta), one to make a van, one for a 3 door so I can build mine and one to build a convertible. I'm on a bit of a vw kick just now

Cheers guys. I noticed something a little different with the assembly of this kit. All the suspension parts have little pins that you glue from the inside instead of like other kits. I'm hoping it works out cos it will save having to worry about the glue sqishing out. I'm just about to put the window masks on for spraying the outer edges so I hope i line them up right. I'm glad the mask is included as i never manage to get them right masking with tape. Should have photos in a few hours

I would get another one if I could mine met an end on the way home from work I was rear ended by a bus while waiting to pull out onto a roundabout . I have a vr6 model part built will get round to finish it one day

The damned lower back bumper doesn't fit. If I get the centre to line up the sides pop out, and none of my glues will hold them in. I've got glue spot all over it and i cant do any touch up as its been waxed. If you buy this kit watch out for that and get it fixed in place before paint. You'll also have to remove the mounting tabs from the chassis otherwise it will pop apart when you try to fit the body and chassis. I'm nearly finished but right now it might go back in the box due to severe pissadointment but we'll see

The back bumper still dont fit so some very careful sanding and its now brushed in the same primer vw panels come in. I will be getting another of these just so I can have one I'm happier with. It looks ok but its not really how I wanted it

That's a real shame, this was shapely up as a cool ride. I'm sure you'll be able to save it. Can I use pissadointment? Sums up a lot of my modelling experiences! Work experinces, building experiences, the list goes on.
