Thats turned out real nice Leon, it was worth the extra work you put into it. I like that its a bright colour too, a dark colour wouldn't have worked so well on such an unusual looking car

Thank you Les! I planned on using yellow but decided to use it on another build coming soon.

Nice work sir. Good memories here. A friend in high school (1987) had a 79 model IIRC. It was blue. We used to drive around with a Sony CD1 portable disc player on the hump with a cassette adapter to the tape deck in the dash. He had 2 CDs. The Police, and another one I can't even remember. The player would occasionally skip over bumps. I bought the Sony CD3, which was the new model and the Whitesnake CD. The CD3 had new innards so it rarely skipped, so we used to use my player and had 3 CDs between us. Good times.

Good job! Reminds me of my former neighbor who used to own a bright green Gremlin he called "Little Green Sneaker". It had Cragar SS mags and Thrush sidepipes just like yours.

Despite your troubles this turned out pretty dang good Leon. There aint nothin' worse than a model kit that the parts don't work together well.

Great little build. The proportions look almost comical.

Next door neighbor where I grew up had an early (pre-crash bumper) Gremlin....ugly brown color...232 in-line 6 cylinder with a manual three-speed “on the tree”. Older people....think the car was around 20+ years... Back in the “hey-day” had a friend (Rambler lover), who bought a ‘71 Gremlin X 304 V-8 4 -speed. He later acquired a 360 V-8 from a ‘71 S/C 360 Hornet. That engine got worked over and installed in the Gremlin X...... That Gremlin was brutally fast. Lightweight, sort wheelbase and an abundance of horsepower made this a scary-fast ride. (I don’t think these are were engineered to go beyond 100 mph...this one did easily).... Now I think I need to add this kit to my stash....lol
