Today has been engine day, the WHOLE day... I have a good 12+ hours in the engine so far, i told you'se this was going to be a long build for me.. Made 2 sets of manifolds out of what i had, before i finally grabbed the solder and made my own. And then took a VCG resin intake and fattened it up, so i could give it some roundedness, if that is a word. Here is where i got to, and a loose mock-up, lots of clean up and refinement to go yet..

Thanks for following guys, and Joe, only 2 x Turbo's mate, a hot side and a cold side, they are just so damn big, the back exhaust side stands out so much, but i am going to close up the gap a little between the two sections.

Wow. That is pretty involved!
Should be cool when it's done though.
Looks like it should all stay under the hood too. BONUS!!
Nice work sir.

Thanks Leon and Mark, there will be some sort of scoop to clear the intake, but not too big. Finally got something to show on this one, there was a lot of clean up involved, but finally squirting some paint. Dupli-color MARTINI GREY... it's actually an olive green.

Looks great mate.I asked the guys at our last construction site and roundness is definitely a word, usually used to describe the general shape of a beer gut apparently!

Luckily, i don't have too much out the bonnet, but a scoop will be needed... BUT, WHICH ONE ??

I like the second one Dale, it looks to fit with the body lines on the hood better. The first one looks like an afterthought

As for making your own...you could do a modified version of the Boss 429 hood scoop used on the Mustangs.

That is very much like I was looking at Joe, also the Dart scoop, but was no where long enough. I had a brain empowering moment (brain fart) just before I left for work this morning, I am going to fill the centre section of the second scoop, and reshape it a bit I reckon, and mold it to the bonnet (hood). that should work I think.

The wait is over Joe, i got the scoop done.. And after all the custom work so far, i could NOT leave the interior as it is, so i have found a spare set of front seats from this kit, so it is now going to be 4 x bucket seats.. And stripped the chrome off the front bumber/grill and rear bumper too.

I like that!
The scoop looks "right" to me, and the bucket idea is very cool.
I love the fab work.
Outstanding.

Les, Leon and Mark, thanks guys.... well, after a few cut fingers, here is where the seats are heading, they don't look too much different really, just sunk back in a bit, but it makes it 2 x buckets now. And the next problem.... there isn't much room for a radiator, this took me a couple of hours fiddling and swapping things out, there are 3 radiators involved, which were cut and sanded to make it almost work .

Thanks Deano, on both accounts mate, and tonight's effort is a couple of edges on the front seats, to match the rear, and add some shape ... sort of..
