This bad boy is finally done! The idea was to build a gasser out of a highly desirable, legendary Japanese car. Originally started it over 3 years ago, and it just kept evolving into the model you see here. End result was basically to try make it look as ridiculous as possible, with a distinct USA and Japanese look to it.
The finished car has parts from 8 different kits in it, plus some parts box, stratchbuilt and aftermarket stuff.
Paint is Tamiya Racing White, Engine is Cyan blue. Engine has ignition module and wiring, throttle linkages, with scratchbuilt return spring, Fuel injection lines, Oil lines, with twin inline filters and external oil cooler, battery cables. Front end is Revell '41 Willys Gasser, rear clip is AMT '66 pro street Nova, Diff is parts box, rear coilovers are 'Revell '64 Fairlane. Removed the headrest from the seats, masking tape seat belts, parts box shifter & steering wheel, Lots more stuff I've most likely forgotten.
Here's some pics, enjoy and feel free to comment/criticise, etc. Cheers.

This is one of those "left field, what are you smoking, your crazy" types of builds mate, AND I LOVE IT !!! Imaginative Modeling at it's BEST !!! Everything just fits and works' which is impressive, considering the amount of work that was involved in making it do so. Paint and stance, interior and engine details are just amazing, Top shelf build Bruce.

This has got to be one of the best builds I've ever seen. Everything just seemed to click together and fit just right with this car Bruce. Hat's off to you for such an amazing build in every single aspect.

This thing is FANTASTIC Bruce!! I can't fault it in any way, except to say maybe the idea itself is crazy, but I don't have a leg to stand on considering my current build. Seriously, the imagination and execution on this build is really awesome. The details, the colors, textures, everything. Super crisp, super realistic. Just SUPER. praising-the-lord-smiley-emoticon

MMThrax, I totally agree the idea was ridiculous(as is your current project), but once I saw how insane it looked when I mocked it up, I knew it had to be finished! Haha.

great to see this at the finish line mate, I like all the little details that are usually era/country specific like the oil cooler hanging off the front bumper being a japanese kaido racer thing, then you look somewhere else and theres a massive hemi from a drag car. The mash up of styles shouldn't work together but somehow it does and works well
