Posting on behalf of Hurtz.
I managed to get a Mustang II IMSA race car model kit. they don`t come with much detail, though they do come with an electric motor. first thing iv`e done was make the complete front removable . i`m using the remains of a fox body mustang circuit race car as a doner .the top part of the chassis/cage have been remade to fit in the Mustang II body. still got a long way to go ,but here`s how the model looks so far

Hurtz' latest update I`ve been doing a bit more on the mustang II model. I`m going to re do the top part of the cage to fit the model better .the engine came out of an AMT Indy Car ,the gear box is out of the doner kit. I decided to go with the Pegasus wheels as they look a bit like the slot mags that a lot of Mustang II`s had from factory . still got quiet a bit to do ,but here`s how the model is looking

This is looking way cool already mate, and the thing i noticed on the box, was it is made for G.J.COLES in Melbourne... they are one of our biggest supermarket chains in Australia now..

Another update from Hurtz, been doing a bit more work on the Mustang II, the chassis /underpinnings are nearly finished started work on the rear body .the front of the car has a lot of vents so decided to do the same on the rear of the body. the window vents were n`t a problem as they are available for Mustang II kits. decided the side scoops needed to look the same as the window vents .these were made out of 2.5 mm by 0.5 mm strips.the bonnet /hood scoop will take a bit more figuring out .after seeing a c2 corvette gran sport , i think the scoop will be quite large with vents on the top .here`s how it looks at the moment

Looking good Dal, the shots of the bare chassis look particularly tough, like an angry go-cart
