'Found' this the other day while looking for something completely different so I thought I'd give it a repaint.
Broke it down into bits by drilling the top off the 'rivets' that hold it all together. I'll drill and tap the remaining rivet stalk and bolt it together with 10ba bolts.
This is the product I use on diecast to remove the original paint. It removes any 'tampo' prints with a light rub. DO NOT use on your plastic kits, guess how I know!!!
So this is the result after about 15 mins. I just rub it under running water using a toothbrush (wifes) and then a wash in soapy water. There is a little bit of scratching out to do in some of the nooks and crannies but not much at all.
Ready for primer.
Chassis for cab section done in Duplicolour red. Think I might paint it up to match the Daf tipper I did earlier. Need to look around for a suitable load.
