This is the italeri cattleman kit I got second hand a while back. I was doing some cleaning at mums house and rediscovered it still sitting unfinished so I decided it had to be finished. The kit was missing the passenger door when i got it so after debating returning it i decided to keep it and I started building it as something a scrapyard/vehicle breakers might have to use in the yard. As I was nearing the end when originally building it, a very kind chap on the 24thscaletruckforum gave me another complete cab from which I got the missing parts. There was no chance of my matching the rest of the paint so I left it in the yellow it was painted in. I also used the dash from the second cab as it had the decals on, and still in good condition while mine were shot. To get it finished today I made some new front and rear glass as i couldn't find either of the 2 I had, and I also made a drivers window which since i was making it anyway i rolled it down a little. The crane is from an italeri accesory set as is both lots of deck surface. The hand grabs are made from paperclips and I built up the railing with plastic strips. The majority of the paint was done by breaking all the rules about drying time, I first did red primer, then as soon as it had a slight dry look I started with 2 different shades of yellow, one in each hand and deliberately patchy to try for a weathered look, then while this was still wet I dusted it with black very lightly. It also has some dry brushed silvers and browns in places. Its finally finished enough to enter so here it is.
