I think there's a place of that name in Chester-le-Street, but I believe the one in North Shields has gone as well...

M

It's still there from what I've been told, it may be south shields though.

Another kit arrived today, I already have the revell m compact so I'm hoping its front bumper and side skirts will fit this to give it an m3 look. I think it may be a tamiya release of a revell kit as the wheels aren't tamiya style, but i wouldn't be using them anyway, lol. The gravel and grass mats were all that really grabbed my attention at the show though i did get some more plastic strips too. most of the kits and stuff were aircraft or trains or just the wrong scale for me

Well I won my kit, paid more than usual but its worth it to me to add it to the vw stash so just the esci mk1 rally car and tamiya mk1 circuit racer left to complete the set though i may start on the resin vw's now as there are a lot more vws out there. I know of the splitty crew cab, razor edge ghia, mk1 caddy and various types 3s so that means there will be even more tamiya beetles in my future and probebly more mk1 golfs too

just a couple today. The ford wagon was 12 quid cos the box is damaged apparently but really the ends is just a little pushed in, and the dodge will hopefully provide a chassis and engine for the lindberg 63 plymouth

Got myself a resin razor edge karmann ghia, its meant for the tamiya beetle and ghia kits but i'm hoping to find a cheap modern porsche 911 to use instead as i see it in black n gray 2 tone with big brakes and wheels. It might end up being my curbside build depending on how my current ebay bids go (some reallly rare stuff being bid on) Its from airtrax in denmark and the quality is very good, miles better than the jimmy flintstone merc i have. It also came with the interior panels, bumpers and lights though i'll have to make my own glass

Nice looking body mate, as for Flintstone... some great ideas, but very poor quality in my opinion, would not want another one.

I've got one of his 59 buick el caminos and its a really nice resin, if it hadn't been such a nice one i would never have got the merc but I've found a use for the merc. I'm going to give it a quick paint job, cut it in bits and use it to test stripping paint from resin. Pretty much all its good for but at least it was very cheap, lol

Another vw turned up this morning. This is what the beetle became during ww2 and is the second version of this kit. I previously did the desert version as a drag car so I think once I get to this one I may put most of a 911 under it since my fujimi has a crushed roof. The brakes and tyres came from australia for about the same as postage is on them here. The resin wheels may end up being sent back. They are supposed to be 15 inch but that wheel in the pic with it is a 14 inch fujimi. I got them for one of my golfs but they are just way too undersized. They might work on 1/32 scale or something small like a mini or fiat 500. The 14 inch wheel in the pic fits the golf arches well, i tried the resin wheel and it looks lost in the space around it

You'll all be surprised to know another vw arrived. I ended up having to get this one from the US cos there didn't seem to be any on this side of the pond. Next i'll be getting another revell mk1 to put the chassis and engine under this as this was originally a battery toy so my stash of mk1s will be growing to suit some resin kits I've found

Got another resin vw this morning. This is the mk3 golf estate from uscp. It has to be the best quality resin currently in my stash and if you didn't know you could mistake it for plastic.

a couple more, the porsche is for a pretty cool transkit I found that should be ordered next month (not an rwb) and I have another pirelli mk1 golf coming for another transkit to build a caddy pick up. There will be some more resin next month and as seems to be the way recently most are from the vw family

SWEET Les, that wagon does look like quality resin too. It really is nice mate, comes with instructions and all the extras to use the fujimi chassis. Even has masks for cutting the glass, and interior tub. Really pleased with it, I was a little worried after i ordered it when the same brand wheels were so undersized but def no complaints. Thinking to ask the guy that makes them if he has any plans to do a cabrio conversion for the hatchbacks at some point. He does a few other conversions too but its just the vw stuff I'm interested in just now, but thats due to lack of space rather than any other reason, lol

It would be worth getting everything you can from mate, that is the best resin body i have ever seen.

Look! no vws, dont worry though, normal service will be resumed soon. lol I'm particulary happy with the escort, while i was bidding on it i thought it was the rally car but when it arrived it turned out to be the circuit rscer in the wrong box so thats a win. The paint is all humbrol acrylic bought as a lot and the toyota should go well with the lexus version i have already

And some more vws. The only reason I got 2 of these is I couldn't decide which front end to get so got both. One has the square lights from the usa version (as pictured on the boxes), and the other has a morette style twin light conversion. Both have pe parts included and chassis extensions with the exra underside deatils. This is just as nice as the mk3 wagon I'm still finishing.

My pe parts have arrived from highlight model studio. I got one of each vw set so now I have enough to do 3 or 4 beetles and buses. I breifly considered using them all on one but that might be a little silly. There's even parts for the vw hebmuller included and its a resin kit I'm currently crossing everything for as its not in production just now but after speaking to the caster I'm very hopeful it soon will be
