Looking good. Have you tried some of the thinner tapes like the Tamiya masking tape? Paint will always go up to the height of the tape you use so the thinner the tape the less of an edge between areas, making it easier to smooth out after the clear. Or you can use your airbrush at a slight angle to create a thinner line as well.

Another tip I use bmf for separating as it doesn't get under the tape

Spdy no I haven't tryed other tape's but I will look into it that tape is kinda thick . Purple is done decals also sorted waiting for it to stop raining here and will clear and take pics

Man that engine looks nicely detailed, you cant really see as much now its in the car. I didn't realise these kits had engines in, I thought they were curbside

Yer it has an engine in shame you can't see more when it's in the car . But remember this one came pre painted so gotta watch out for that
